Replacing panel lights bulbs with LED-based bulbs

For some time I was thinking about replacing incandescent light bulbs in Pinz dashboard with LED-based replacement bulbs. After some research I found the CML Innovative Technologies (CML being the Chicago Miniature Lamp) makes LED-based lamp replacements in several colors and in 6,12,24,28 etc. volt...

wheel adapter drawing

Does anyone have a drawing of the wheel adapter? I am talking about adapter
needed to replace and balance Pinz tires in the regular tire shop.

I used the Loctite Plastix Bonder, a two-component epoxy for plastic, comes in a double-syringe packing. Worked great for large cracks in the front two lower corners, but not so good on the flexing rear edge. Maybe it was my lousy prep on that side. Then I got some kevlar or aramid 1" wide tape...

Pinzgauer Electrical Schematic

Mine was slowly dissintegrating, so I figured I better put it into electronic format. I scanned the schematics on a large-format scanner in a 600 DPI resolution, so if someone needs one (for both 710 variants and 712) drop me an email and I will email it to you. To make a hardcopy, an access to 17x1...

Well, obviously, if smog is required and Pinz cannot pass it, then it cannot be registered. It appears there are no issues with registering 716 in CA. There is one in Belmont, CA . Not a gray import? I know it is a diesel, and so no smog, but it was imported after Dec31, 1974 as it was made in 1986....

I guess we can agree that pretty much any Pinzgauer can be registered in CA but the question is whether it will need smog or not?! Correct? From: http://dmv.ca.gov/vr/smogfaq.htm#BM2535 Does my vehicle qualify for a smog exemption? Smog inspections are required *unless* your vehicle is: * Hybrid * 1...

This is completely bogus. I have '75 Pinz in CA and there were no issues with registration whatsoever. It came with a CO title. A little guidance from Scott from EI helped. As for a smog, vehicles made in 1975 and older are exempt. This is exact wording of a law. Vehicles made in 1975 and older. Not...

Original price of Pinzgauer

Does anyone know (with some degree of confidence) what was the price of
Pinzgauer 1 (say 710M) in late 70's. Of course price varies with quantity,
so say 1000 vehicles. I assume that is approx quantity Swiss purchased.

Any sailmaker or sail repair shop can do that easily. Cut the threads holding the window, remove the window, and clean the holes from thread remains. Keep the window as it will be easier for sailmaker to cut the new one to exact size if template is available. I guess the only sticking point is that ...

After exhaustive search, I found SAF-Holland articulating pintle hook to be the best available solution. The model number is PHT60AOSL8, and is straight bolt-on through the 4 holes on pinzie's mount. You get 360 deg articulation but you do not get shock-absorbing feature of Swiss Pinzie's original h...

I never got back to this thread, but after exhaustive testing of 5 different glues, I found that ACE Flexible Vinyl Mender works the best. And it costs like $2.50 in local ACE Hardware store. I used patching material from swiss army pack, texture and color matching perfectly. The back of that materi...

Grazie Ugo! It would make sense to disconnect it from the blackout lights switch and connect to 24V and make it useful again.
