I'm up and running, but I bought Jake's entire test mule already outfitted. Works great.

My math had the 24V air conditioners in the area of scary as far as current draw. Their rating (that I found) seemed to soak up a LOT of the rated output of the alternator, and searching the forum revealed no larger alternator available, just the possibility of getting a good alternator shop to rewi...

Pinzinator, which wheels are you running? And do you have any pics of your pinz with this wheel/tire combo? I'm looking at going with some 8" wheels myself...

I'm considering building a custom hard top with a center console that has electronics in it along with some kind of locking doors to protect that stuff. Oh, and some integrated speakers. I gots to have my tunes, and really like having a GPS. But I really don't like having things stolen... --Donnie

I was wondering about that. Never see them mentioned here on the forum even though the list of items they have seems extensive. Dang. We need all the vendor help we can get! :)

What about the tops at:

Click "Parts" at the top then "Pinzgauer" on the sidebar and then scroll down. They've got five bar entire tops as well as just cab tops. They're quite pricey, but they show them.

audiocontr, got a link to the auction? I'd like to see what you got. Also, do you have an email address for the guy you bought it from? I met him a few weeks ago (and did the zipline thing) and would like to get in touch with him. Please PM it to me if you have it. Where do you live? I have a house ...

If Jake built it then he did a nice job copying the one shown on the white 712 in my first post. They appear to be identical. I doubt he built *this* bumper since he sold it to me with a 24V 8274 winch that wouldn't go on it. He would have likely built something that would have worked with the winch...

Err, sounds like I stepped in sh&t quite unintentionally. First, AZ712DK, can you tell me for sure what the mostly tube bumper above is? I assumed it was "Scott's" based on what someone else said. If "Scott's" and "SNF's" are different, I apologize. If what I have i...

Just to point out. this set up probably weighs the same as the bumper Scott sells. :) If so, it's only because it has to for supporting an 8274. I also think it's actually a lot stronger than the one Scott sells. All the force on Scott's while winching is transferred through a single tube torsional...

locosmith, I had a local friend with a fab shop build it. It's really specific to the 8274 winch, though. He could do more just like it pretty easily, but I'd need a few people who wanted them to make it worthwhile. He would be willing to design one that was similar and could handle more standard ty...

Trxus I beleive does 34" + 12.50"+ 16 tire. Would think for sand you'd want more of a AT tire so it wouldn't dig in the sand. Yes indeed they do! And yeah, an AT might be better for pure sand, but I do some other stuff, too, and an MT is still the best all around tire for what I want in m...

Thanks for the links. And I know I should read the forums, but it's hard to search for tire width and get much useful since there are so many tire threads about all manner of things. I don't want to lose any top speed on the road, so I probably want to stay with a tire close to the 34" that I h...
