Anyone know if you can buy a master cylinder for a TGB 1111 here in the states? Would it match up with an early defender like most other brake parts do?
Thanks

Re: Hard to start if it sits for more than a few hours
Our mechanic figured it out. The choke plate was in upside down. Not sure if it’s called a plate but something in the carburetor that activates the choke was upside down. Starts easy now.

Re: Hard to start if it sits for more than a few hours
There is still fuel in the filter. Fuel is also present in the Zenith carb bowls. Like the choke circuit is not passing fuel.

Hard to start if it sits for more than a few hours
Wondering if any of you can give me some advice? I have a Volvo that runs really well. But if it sits for a few hours or especially overnight it takes forever for it to start. Seems like the fuel drains out of the lines and it has to wait 3 minutes or so for the fuel to get back to the motor. As soo...

I’m striking out at attaching files from my IPhone. I click the attachment box below and upload a file but every time it gives me the caution sign that it didn’t work.

Re: Gutless
I’m so glad to hear that it’s not normal to be this way. It’s a 1986 718 ambulance. I would assume the P80. I will have my mechanic do a major service on it and now that I know replace all the fuel filters. There has been a pusher fan added to the radiator and the grill cut out to make room for it. ...

I took my 718 out to see how well it would flex. In doing so I was trying to get the driver side wheel up on a boulder. I couldn’t even get it to build up enough power to get up on this rock. My old 712 would have made it. Are these things worthless on power in low rpms and geared too tall? Seems li...

Hopefully the third time is the charm. Didn't seem to upload from my phone.

Here is a photo of the Speedo. I don’t think the last post worked attaching them.

Re: Speedo stopped working
Here is a photo of the speedometer. If it’s not a simple fix than I will replace it with a MPH GPS one.

Speedo stopped working
I just recently bought a 718 Pinz. The Speedo worked for a few days but now the needle stays at zero. But the odometer is working fine. Any ideas on how to fix it before I replace it? Just want to make sure it’s not a blown fuse or a simple button I pushed. Thanks, Jud

Brake Cylinders
I need a bunch of new wheel cylinders. Tatanka is closed for another week. Are there any sources in the US to order them from? I think I recall hearing that the old defenders use the same cylinders but are reversed right to left?
Thanks,
Jud
