Thanks for the drawing, if I disconnect the speedo cable and then try and turn the shaft in the drawing and it turns then does it mean that the cog end is broken? Thanks Mike.

I have removed the cable and it isnt broken so it seems like something lower. Is the rest of it easy to get out and work on? Thanks Mike.

The speedo has stopped in the 712. So I disconnected the speedo cable from the back of the speedo.When driving the end of the cable is not spinning around, any ideas please. Thanks Mike.

Tested the CO + CO2 from the vents in the cab with a Kane analyser. The readings were extremely high. Then I covered up the flap that the hot lever controls with duct tape and it stopped the CO + CO2 coming into the cab. Have got 10w40 Mobil S semi-synthetic oil to put in the engine. Is this Ok?

I have an exhaust fume smell coming into the cab when driving. Have just fitted new stainless steel exhaust, thinking that this would cure it but it is an ongoing problem. Has anyone else had this problem and know where it is coming from? Seems to be worse when you open the side window.

Hoping to buy pinzgauer which hasn't any back seats.
