Transmissions must be GL4 not GL4/GL5. GL5 rated will eat the yellow metal synchros. And yes all the parts stores will tell you wrong. You will most likely not find it on the shelf and have to order it. Amsoil is a good source for GL4. Was surprised when I found out my 2001 Nissan Xterra 5 speed tra...

Remember never remove a drain plug without first insuring that you can remove the corresponding fill plug. :lol:

Acceleration to highway speeds is not rapid however you should not have problems getting there however IMHO ear plugs are a must for any extended travel over 40, 45 mph.

My suggestion would be to find a vehicle of similar engine size and compression that is already equipped for a hand crank and make arrangements to sample what it takes to hand start it. I have heard that this is possible...... 4x4 Pinz in 2wd, chock the wheels, jack up on one side at the back, in 2nd gear with ignition on, rotate jacked wheel to 'hand crank' engine. Once started wheel will spin dangerously and of course if it slips off the jack it will run away, but it might get y...
