Re: Tachometer with hourmeter

So are you proposing replacing the speedometer+trip_meter+odometer with a speedometer(GPS???)+tachometer? Yes, a speedometer+trip_meter+odometer+tachometer in a single unit. https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/pw/ABLVV85LShhtz6WtqPDCSYlnqHCH8zK7sboPGUICTNvL0J76_Y0IJzuSicc-_P0YblH8y_2tjYDRt_EoXGAJX08k...

Re: front wheel hub steps

To me those things dont even belong on a pinzgauer and where ever availble on them from the factory...the only truck that had these was the 404 Mog......i just dont like them  Honest question, do you drive your Pinzgauer regularly? I don't know how the hub step wasn't a factory configuration....

Re: Insurance Help

To Mr. Zero, how did you determine an appraised value and /or convince the insurance company of same? Apparently it is a standard practice for American Family to cover classic/collectible vehicles up to the appraised value. AmFam actually brought this to my attention and referred me to an appraiser...

Re: Insurance Help

My 710K has been insured through American Family Insurance for 13 years and for the full appraised value of the vehicle. They recently updated the policy declarations page such that it conforms to Nevada's new requirements for Classic tags and emissions exemption. With multi-vehicle and home insuran...

Re: gas cans special size?

My haf did not come with a spare gas can. The harbor freight can does not fit. Do i need to find an authentic can? In addition to other shortcomings most, if not all, of the inexpensive (China) NATO-style fuel cans do not have seams recessed to the same tolerances of Wavian and Valpro cans. For thi...

Axe Holder rubber cheap fix

The strap for my axe holder died years ago, replaced by a piece of velcro doubled back on itself. I recently found these inexpensive tool mounts for $8 (vs $43 OEM replacement) with bolt-together hinges and was able to repurpose the hinge and strap to fix my axe holder. The rubber is arguably a bett...

No problem in Nevada. Besides myself I'm familiar with 2 other Pinz owners here that had no issues registering their trucks.

Re: Tipping Point

Everything rmel said being accurate I would add that if you have a healthy sense of apprehension, then you'll make adjustments long before the Pinz does anything weird or unexpected. I often get the Pinz adequately off-camber to require that I grab the passenger side OSB to keep myself upright relat...

Welcome to the forum! The Pinzgauer is a great choice, in my biased opinion, for an overland build capable of extremes. Looking forward to seeing yours come together. :)

Re: Webasto Air Top 2000 Install

My heater mount was designed to take advantage of the factory (710K) heater mounting holes and ducting. Since you'll be making some additional mods to fit the heater in an M, I'm sure you can accomplish a lower profile installation. Reviewing the photos of the install I was reminded that the other ...

Re: Webasto Air Top 2000 Install

From your first pictures, do i get it right that you routed the combustion exhaust between the front left wheel and the battery box ? Have you been able to run your system with this panel back in its original place ? (i can't see that panel in your third picture). Yes, this is the factory combustio...
