Re: Tipping Point
Everything rmel said being accurate I would add that if you have a healthy sense of apprehension, then you'll make adjustments long before the Pinz does anything weird or unexpected. I often get the Pinz adequately off-camber to require that I grab the passenger side OSB to keep myself upright relat...

Welcome to the forum! The Pinzgauer is a great choice, in my biased opinion, for an overland build capable of extremes. Looking forward to seeing yours come together.

Re: Webasto Air Top 2000 Install
My heater mount was designed to take advantage of the factory (710K) heater mounting holes and ducting. Since you'll be making some additional mods to fit the heater in an M, I'm sure you can accomplish a lower profile installation. Reviewing the photos of the install I was reminded that the other ...

Re: Webasto Air Top 2000 Install
From your first pictures, do i get it right that you routed the combustion exhaust between the front left wheel and the battery box ? Have you been able to run your system with this panel back in its original place ? (i can't see that panel in your third picture). Yes, this is the factory combustio...

Re: Restoration & upgrade ideas
The bigger "comfort" items that I would recommend... Power steering (EZ) EFI (Goatwerks) 2.7L motor rebuild (Goatwerks) SAV Power brake booster Webasto or clone heater (depending on your use case) I would say that the seat swap is more of a preference than an upgrade. Do try before you buy.

Re: General Components Bison 2000A heater
Without indication to the contrary I would suspect that heater is of Chinese origin. Images are certainly the same as used for some of the Chinese listings. Not a bad thing IMO, but I'd price compare against the bigger Chinese outlets (Ali Express, etc.).

Re: Carburator - "Hot Climate" Version
I'd recommend chatting at Jim LaGuardia of Goatwerks on this topic. He's one of the carb gurus here and has undoubtedly rebuilt and tuned more Pinzgauer carbs than just about anyone else. I'm sure he'll be able to get you sorted.

Re: Tachometer with hourmeter
No, I've never come across an operating clock/tachometer combo guage in that diameter. I appreciate that you asked a different question, but if you'd like to keep the clock, have you considered a speedometer/tachometer combo guage instead? Many more options there and it would achieve the same functi...

Re: Simple Mod - Mattock Mount
Plenty of aggressive driving and no tire contact with the mattock or shovel mounted in the wheel wells. I've been told that this is the standard shovel mounting location on Austrian 712s(?). Yes, 255/85.VinceAtReal4x4s wrote: ↑Wed Mar 08, 2023 11:08 am You sure that wont hit on a hard flex or drop-off? Are those 255's?

Simple Mod - Mattock Mount
It's been a bit quiet on the forum lately so I thought that I might begin to post some of the smaller mods I've done that others might find useful for themselves. During the build-out of my truck it was often small, useful and easily undertaken mods shared by others here that gave me a sense of prog...
