Re: Rear wheels locked
The handbrake can barely stop the Pinz from rolling uphill, how is it going to counter a 9-tonne winch? I have hammered on the lever, as it happens. Would the wheels still turn if the handbrake was on? I'm pretty sure I had the TC in neutral too. How am I going to turn the driveshaft without a runni...

Rear wheels locked
Moved house recently and since Pinz was non runner, had to get it recovered there. When the guy turned up to winch it into a flatbed, the rear wheels wouldn't turn. Handbrake was off (like it could have held that much force anyway!) and none of the lockers were engaged. Clutch was in and gearbox in ...

I'm very pleased... :D Drove her forward and back a few yards - needs some more grease on the gear l...

Re: Not running right, lots of soot, backfiring through carb
Soot indicates truck running too rich (i.e. too much fuel or not enough air) - have you cleaned your air filter lately?
Have you checked the levels in the float chambers? If you "rebuilt" the carbs then you might have damaged the floats or made them stick...

Re: No fire
Have you changed the ignition (HT) leads? If you're getting good spark at the coil end but not at the plug end it indicates the leads might be at fault?

First EFI run... sort of
Bolted the new fuel rails up and couldn't resist seeing what happened if I cranked it. Bear in mind the exhaust flexi couplings are not there (so 8" gap between manifold & heat exchanger) and I'd left the top breather hose off in my excitement. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bYvOui317Rc A s...

Re: Exhaust flanges
don't know that it makes a difference but with your added flange the headers become one solid unit. With the original flex system they are two separate items. With the flex kit sold by the dealers the headers can move independent of each other even though they are tied together (after the flexes). ...
