Re: LED compatible turn signal Flasher

Thank You! As the 'other person' with this problem I truly appreciate your looking into this. I had the opportunity this weekend to test your solution. I was able to connect the resistor while the unit was flashing on its own. Instant cure, disconnected, it flashes, connected, it stops. My Pinz driv...

Re: Shuttle needed-windshields from LA to PDX Dave Dunn

I'm in the San Francisco area and have been wondering how to get a windshield up here. I can shuttle part way, offer a rest spot, or co-drive some section.

Re: Backup Camera choices.

I notice that first camera you mentioned has 24 VDC as the top of it's range. Someone else may know the numbers, but I'm sure the Pinz's 24 Volts goes much higher when charging. The unit may run hot and have a short life. A backup camera is high on my wish list. Since I've added an extended rear bum...

Re: Cold War Remarketing ????

My $100 CWR lesson was to never use a debit card online, doesn't have the protection of straight VISA. I would like to see all our vendors prosper. However, I do expect a certain amount of professionalism if your going to call yourself a business. I made small order, waited forever for the wrong par...

Re: 24 volt source to 12 volt battery charger

Your plan sounds feasible. I've been looking at the same problem; using the accessories at night and wanting to start the engine in the morning. Procrastinating paid off. While having a rack build by Tim Keller with the SWPA group, he suggested, then mounted the solar panels of H.F.'s 45W solar pane...

Re: Rental Trailer for a 712

United Rental rents heavy duty utility trailers at $50 a day. I had my 712M shipped from Fayetteville to San Francisco area for $950. Only problem was the flatbed truck's ramps couldn't be mounted close enough to unload the Pinz. I couldn't find a ramp to use, so hired a tip bed tow truck. The tip b...

Re: Pinz Trailer Manufacture Sutter

I got permission from Michel to share the email he sent me. Here's his account of the ride back from Champion Spark Plug Mine. Hello and thank you for your e-mail and direction to the cool pictures. Thank God another person showed up with a Pinzy, I would have felt completely out of place among the...

Re: Pinz Trailer Manufacture Sutter

Air chucks? You forgot air chucks?! All I forgot was my jack handle. I'd been using it with a larger jack in my garage. We had a blow out in Stockton. Didn't notice until we stopped to camp in Yosemite (got to love 6 wheels, lose one and you still have one more than you need). At the time of the blo...

Re: Pinz Trailer Manufacture Sutter

Hi Jay, You should have hung with the 712s. I was the first to get stuck, on the very first ride. Michel (with the yellow 712) came back to help. When I asked him how much trouble I was in, he assured me everything was fine. He then explained patiently and in great detail what each of those levers o...

Re: Huh.........Anyone here?

I think this is a totally inappropriate format for discussing the racial tension in America. But... If (some) white men are uncomfortable seeing a black man with a white woman, for black woman it's a real nipple twist. There is a huge double standard at play here. My read is that the Ebay poster is ...

Re: New to forum, and hopefullly new owner of a 712 pinzgaue

I'm the new owner of the Swiss army reserve 712M that you may have seen on S.A.V.. Being of a suspicious nature and of meager funds, my wife and I drove to Fayetteville to kick the tires and slam the doors. Willy, Sarah, and Sheri all seemed to be good people. Even though we bought the vehicle 'As I...

Has anyone heard from Patrick Robb? He has told me of his latest misfortunes; his shipping computer going tits up (9/15/2010), his people sending out the wrong parts (9/18/2010), and most recently, of his accident and re-hospitalization due to pneumonia and a collapsed lung (10/21/2010). He promised...
