Re: 1981 pinzgauer 712 ambulance for sale

Selling a1981 712 ambulance. I've owned this truck since 2011, it's the most reliable vehicle I've owned. Driven it across country(slowly) multiple times. It was my daily driver for a couple of years. It had 67k kilometers in it when I got it, but the speedometer stopped working around 70k. It has t...

Re: help me get this @#$%! thing started!!!!

Re: help me get this @#$%! thing started!!!!

ok, i just want to say thanks, i greased all the electrical contacts, and it worked. started right up. then while resyncing the carbs, i noticed fuel continually leaking down the throat of the front carb, so i added a washer to the float needle, and it stopped leaking in the front but not in the rea...

Also engine its putting of a lot more heat than normal. Strong smell of fuel too, and cuts out at low rpm. Any help? Also if there arete any pinz owners...

Re: I have little to no electrical knowledge, need help.

I have learned (the hard way) to just NOT use any electronic accessories/gadgets in a Pinzgauer. One of my trucks was purchased with a CB radio, CD player, compressor, and an intermittent wiper "upgrade." The only thing that solved my dying batteries issue was simply removing all that ele...

Re: I have little to no electrical knowledge, need help.

thanks for all the input, looks like I'll have to deal with the heat, as a/c seems to be an impossibility. the only things i really need are to be able to charge a phone and use a laptop, though an ipod would be nice too. a generator would be out of the question, because I would have nowhere to put ...
