Re: Pinz at the Drag Strip
BTW, I kinda like the extra right-side mirror, especially since I don't have an inside one as the view is usually blocked.

Re: Pinz at the Drag Strip
Also, the camber is wrong. You need to somehow lower the rear end so the angle is close to zero while keeping the weight down with less gas and a lighter driver. ![Wink ](./images/smilies/icon_wink.gif)

Re: 1/2 cord of wood in the back
OK, NorCal, you might also consider planting the top third of at least three-year-old stems cut during a waning moon, without the "branches", horizontally under four inches of soil in a trench. Mature stems have to be harvested anyway to keep the grove healthy. Much easier than transplanti...

Guys, just do it! My teacher trained with Jeff Cooper himself. Invaluable.

Re: 1/2 cord of wood in the back
Please forgive, but I must post on this thread because I'm a bamboo enthusiast, and obviously you are going to plant that bamboo. You harvested that bamboo correctly, during the waning moon, and maybe the leafless shoot will not make it, but the rest of the clump will if you water it copiously and t...

Re: Pinzgauer , mushrooms.
Curiously, the mushrooms on my rails were the same shape and color as the ones in the pic, but they were only on the wood that the previous owner had replaced the original rails with. Keep in mind that what you see is the "fruit" of the mushroom, since the mushroom itself is rootlike and c...

Re: WTB - OD Canvas Bags for Chains
The two bags my chains came in are made of a very tough black nylon with drawstrings, with painted white lettering indicating "245-16 S4 1Paar".

I'm partial to the K, so I would say $15K, and wouldn't change anything, except the Maloyas and the paint.

Re: Rub rails for 712 - time to replace
Have them made from wood, a good hardwood like fir or redwood, then either varnish them or paint them green. There is no substitute, except maybe something trex-like. Then again, there are many guys here who would recommend C channel steel and they are right too, especially if you go out into the wi...

Re: Reverse Gear Potential Issue
Funny to read a thread in which I agreed with everybody, although it's not the first one. Now you need to read a lot about tires, my first and only mod., before you decide on a size/tread. Good luck with your new truck. Hope you enjoy it as much as everybody on this forum.

It's a shame. Bodies for 411s can still be found if you look for them. The 411 is actually a beautiful vehicle, green with red wheels.

Re: Stock ignition - plugs Bosch WC8DC vs Bosch WC145ERT2
OK, guys, so I am confused. I bought "original" Bosch WC145ERT2 plugs a year ago from SAV. Still have not installed them because the stock ones are doing perfectly since I got the truck two years ago. Should I NOT use the new plugs?

Re: AUX Heater in a K model
Yes, I could do that, despite the hassles of sending stuff from where I live, but I'm guessing those units aren't worth all that much and they look really cool. My pinz is stock except for the radios and the wooden shelf that holds them.
