Re: Broken Front Spring Cup

Thanks Audio. What would have caused this? Do I/should I replace something? I've attached another pic looking at it from the front.

Re: Broken Front Spring Cup

Noticed a lean to the right side today. Looked underneath at the spring and noticed it is a tad "off plumb". What is causing this and how can I fix it? Thanks for the help.

Re: Pics of the M101A2 behind the Pinz

Hey Mark. I can open the door about half way with the pintle hitch on. It is enough for me to get through, but just barely. I do have a receiver hitch on. As far as the lights on the trailer, I changed them to 12 volt to be able to easier use with other vehicles; then bought the converter to hook up...

Super Swampers...10.5x34x16 TSL. They look nice, but replacing with BFG KM2's this winter, in a comparable size. Swampers are a little on the noisy side.

Re: Pics of the M101A2 behind the Pinz

You will love your trailer. I use mine to carry kayaks, mountain bikes, and camping gear. I never put a lot of weight in it. It pulls great, but on hills you can tell it is back there.

Re: Attaching hooks on side wall for rubber cord

Thanks for the ideas. I called Mcmasters. Actually got M5 countersunks in black with the washers and nyloks. Looks great. I painted my hooks black, thus the black screws.

Attaching hooks on side wall for rubber cord

I am in the process of painting my pinz. I have taken all the hooks off the side. The were attached with pop rivs. I don't like how they look, especially from the inside. Has anyone else used anything that looks better? I am thinking of an allen head bolt with lock washers/nuts on them.

Re: Roof Rack Clearance

Thanks all for the advice and pics. I just purchased one of the hardtops from EI and am finally getting around to put it on next week, then the rack will be fabbed. I especially appreciate the comments about the "very quiet insulated tops"...these may as well have a future with me, and the...

Roof Rack Clearance

I am having a roof rack made for my 710m to haul my kayaks on. What is a "safe" clearance that I should stay away from the sides and the top to be able to get my top off/on when needed and also to roll the sides up. I don't want the rack to be too narrow nor too wide/tall. It will contour ...

HardTop

I just purchased a new hardtop for my 710M from Expedition Imports. It looks great, and it is only sitting on the floor! Does anyone have pictures of their hardtops and how they mounted it. Views from the top and how it connects with the rear canvas roof would also be helpful, as would pics of the i...

Re: How do you remove a door glass?

Thanks for the insights. After I took off the bottom channel, my original felt/rubber gasket had "grown" to my window seal and just needed some tender persuation to get the windows out. Pretty straight forward job. Will be ordering some new track next week after seeing how weathered those ...

How do you remove a door glass?

I know this should be easy, but how do you remove a door glass. My windows on my 710 are tinted (thank goodness). My lawn mower man threw a rock that shattered my passenger side window but, because of the window film, it stayed "together". Ordered the new window, and thought that all I wou...

Re: Exhaust flanges

seems there were some made years ago with the braided pipe. Did not hold up well. You have to be careful on the flex pipe. The pipe that is used in the SAV kit is double lock whereas the pipe from the local parts store is only single lock. Looks similar but does not hold up very long at all. The pi...

Re: Exhaust flanges

Anyone have knowledge/experience on the exhaust flanges that are made with the braided metal hose...not the flex pipe? My "exhaust man" has these and will sell/install it for around $180. If they don't work as good as the flex pipe, though, please share your thoughts.

Re: Battery Cut-off Switch

Hey Thanks, that is exactly what I put in. The previous owner had already installed a similar configuration, and just by chance on a Sunday I tried Napa. I thought I was going to have to order the Hellas, but as always, Napa comes through. It was nearly impossible to get inside this thing.
