Re: Pics of the M101A2 behind the Pinz
Put some of these on the sides of that trailer, and you won't know where the Pinz stops and the trailer begins: http://i.ebayimg.com/t/HOOK-SIDE-WALL-FOR-RUBBER-CORD-7111740591-Steyr-Puch-Pinzgauer-/00/s/NDgwWDQ5Ng==/z/FrkAAOxyd5tRy9KE/$T2eC16F,!)kE9s4Z-UH-BRy9KEHSFw~~60_35.JPG That's a riot as I d...

Re: Pics of the M101A2 behind the Pinz
Finished up the mod to the trailer lunette and replaced the master cylinder cap with a low profile cap. I will see this weekend how it all mates up with the Pinz and its rear door. http://i1335.photobucket.com/albums/w662/Mark-McC-/20130823_114834_zps2660e4f6.jpg I can now make the trailer level wit...

Re: Pics of the M101A2 behind the Pinz
The M101A2 was setup to be pulled by the military Chevy Blazer or the pickup. The A2 uses the same 16" wheels as the trucks, The M101A3 is the same trailer but the axles take the 16.5" Hummer wheels and tires. The M1102 is an aluminum bodied wider trailer setup just for the Hummer. The M10...

Pics of the M101A2 behind the Pinz
I am going to be working on the adjustable trailer hitch this weekend but everything should end up much like the pics. Mark PS: I am going to repaint the trailer to match the Pinz. http://i1335.photobucket.com/albums/w662/Mark-McC-/20130816_185821_zpsf46e27a0.jpg http://i1335.photobucket.com/albums/...

Found 10-30 volt 1156 LED bulbs !
For those of you that use a trailer for your military 24volt truck and civilian 12 volt truck there is a new inexpensive LED 1156 bulb that makes things real easy. It is the same physical size as the standard 1156 bulb. The box the bulbs come in has printed on it 10V-30V Mark I am sure these are ava...

Re: Had an idea for an easier way to jack up the truck
Yes to eliminate the lift needed to take out the slack of the Pinz limiting straps. In the garage the Pinz is in there is the garage door opener up above so clearance is an issue. I thought it would be nice to roll a jack under the truck and have the wheels come come up right off the bat. The spring...

Had an idea for an easier way to jack up the truck
As we know jacking up the rear of the truck is a real and stressful PITA especially for the 712s. If you took a length of aircraft cable and made a loop to go around the upper and lower shock mounts of all the rear wheels and secured the cable with cable clamps would not all the wheels lift right aw...

As I remember it was some kind of Russian truck for use on the Siberian Tundra. Think that is strange take a look at the land train below.

Re: Picked up a really nice M101A2 trailer for the 712M
Yes same motor in the 710 and 712 but the tranny has some different gearing to help make up for the extra weight. The M101A2 comes in at 1340 lbs empty. Anyone know what the Swiss army Sutter trailer empty weight is? The Swiss Sutter trailers were all made in the 60s and early 70s and were made for ...

Re: Picked up a really nice M101A2 trailer for the 712M
I believe that is a M416 1/4 ton trailer. After much research the trailer that is the closest to the Swiss army Sutter trailer is the old U.S. Ben Hur trailer from WWII. Finding one today in good shape would be a difficult task. The Sutter trailer in either 1 ton or 1.5 ton configurations is a very ...

Picked up a really nice M101A2 trailer for the 712M
Just picked up a really nice trailer for the Pinz and now just have to install a adjustable Lunette to get the proper height but mainly so the rear door while opening will clear the surge brakes. Going to repaint the trailer to match the Pinz. I ordered a 2 1/2" lunette ring for the hitch so it...

Re: New Brake pads now brake light issue
How much travel are you getting with the pedal when pushed hard? Maybe the pads are not adjusted properly as there is too much clearance between the pad and the drum.
