Re: Rear Hazard Lights
Rear hazards are fixed! :D Thanks everyone for your comments and suggestions. Here's what I found and how I fixed them. Like Jim I wanted to see inside that hazard switch to see how it worked and why it might have stopped rather than just replace it and ask questions afterwards. After studying the w...

Rear Hazard Lights
Hey Guys, I've lost power to my rear hazards. I still have brake lights, markers and signals but no rear hazards although the fronts still flash. I've done a bit of digging on here and read that it might just be the hazard switch itself. I just replaced the flasher relay last summer and all was work...

12. With the dowels back in you can now reinstall the first/reverse stop and reinstall the plastic stopper/dust plug. Shifter Rebuild_21.jpg Shifter Rebuild_22.jpg 13. Now just reattach the shift tower to the tranny with the 5 bolt, mount back on truck and fill with your favourite oil. Shifter Rebui...

8. Now that the selector shaft is out you can see the 2 seals which need replacing. The outer seal comes out fairly easily whereas the inner one not so much(I had to destroy the inner seal to get it out :? so I wont show pictures of that) Shifter Rebuild_14.jpg Shifter Rebuild_15.jpg 9. Now you can ...

Re: tranny oil leak....
Ok here we go, lots of pics but overall a very simple job. First remove your tranny although not necessary it makes the job a lot easier. Shifter Rebuild.jpg 2. Drain oil 3. With a 13mm socket remove the shift tower (5 bolts) Shifter Rebuild_2.jpg Shifter Rebuild_3.jpg 4. Once removed use a blade dr...

Re: Crankshaft Pulley Re-installation
Ok, so some progress has finally been made on this small issue that I've been playing with. The timing gear has now been removed (after having to remove the motor from the truck) and now I am slightly more confused. In the picture below are the parts that have come off; the timing gear, the spring/f...

Ya I bought one of those at the beginning of the summer when PA put them on sale last. They usually put them on sale a couple of times a year. Haven't used mine yet on the Pinz but have helped a few buddies on the trail repair flats with it, very handy tool just gotta be careful with them.

Thanks Stekay!
Excellent pics thanks for posting.
I may try that, I'm heading to my shop this afternoon to see what sort of progress I can make, I'll post some more pics when I gain some more ground on the situation. Should be a great learning experience either way it turns out.

Crankshaft Pulley Re-installation
So after our adventures at Trailfest last month I'm hoping to finally find some time to get this truck back together. http://real4x4forums.com/PinzgauerBBS/viewtopic.php?f=12&t=8347 So, I started pulling everything apart again as during our re-installation in the motel parking lot we were unsucc...

Yeah yeah...but at least I don't have to refill my tank each seasonberger wrote:I aired up all four of my tires, from 18psi to 40psi, then did the 3 PS tires of Mead's 712, from 20psi to 50psi, before he aired up the DS.
