Nobody knows?
Oh well, I will find out the $hard$ way and let y'all know if you can swap out the pump body. Mine works even though it looks a bit uglier than before.

Oil Pump in C303 > ?
Hello, Almost done with my C303 rebuild. I accidentally left my oil pump in Purple degreaser overnight. It corroded the aluminum/magnesium body and produced some sandy corrosive residue. Pissed me off of course. Anyways... Does the BODY of any B20 pump bolt into the B30 case? I see major differences...

Re: Teaser pics - Tgb11 w/new engine!
That's terrible! I need to read more here. I know who he bought his truck from, because we were this * close to trading our boat for it. I don't wish this upon anybody, but I'm kinda glad it wasn't us. Yes, you should be glad it wasn't you. I spent 2 days getting the motor out of the chassis with 4...

Re: C303 Arrived...!! Have a few questions
If you can do basic engine maintenance, the 123 isn't going to be too tough but if you can't set timing properly, pay someone to do it or pay Jim by the hour for a phone consultation. ;) Ok, after reading the instructions, the only thing I am concerned with is the requirement for a 6V/12V lead from...

C303 Arrived...!! Have a few questions
:D The C303 TGBII arrived from California last week. I drove it around this weekend and now I have a few questions. 1: After a search here and on the web, it appears that the best fuel to use is 93 Octane with a lead additive. However, I see a "re-body" discussion in a few places. There is...

Pictures of C303 needed!
I am arranging for theTGBII to be picked up this Saturday. I have sent out the dimensions which are pretty much everywhere: Length: ~170"-175" ish Width: ~76" Height: 84"-90" Weight: ~5200lbs The carrier is concerned that these dimensions are not correct because the pictures...

Re: Maybe found a 303, but.....
If you aren't settled on a C303, perhaps an earlier Volvo would work for you. There is one on ebay now: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/1963-VOLVO-L3314N-MERCEDES-UNIMOG-OFF-ROAD-VEHICLE-RUNS-AND-DRIVES-/190625692972?pt=US_Cars_Trucks&hash=item2c622d3d2c Cheers, Greg That thing is BAD-A$$ !!!! N...

Re: Crazy ? TGBII odyssey planned
I've decided to ship it.. Makes me a bit sad, because I rarely see opportunities for adventure these days, but I can't risk my son's life racing this thing home @ high rpms. Besides, what can be seen on a highway is not what I call high adventure. It's like 10,000 McDonalds, Super8 motels and Dairy ...

Re: Crazy ? TGBII odyssey planned
He lives 200 miles north of the hangar where the TGB lives. He travels on business often. This is not the ONLY window, but it's my best shot for this month.mopar wrote:Why is he only giving you a 1 day window?

Re: Crazy ? TGBII odyssey planned
Vince killed it for me.. I think I will ship. I was going to change the oil in the parking lot somewhere along the way. I can't carry all that. 58 is pretty slow for modern highway. If I could take 7 days off to get it home, I would - but now your talking $700 in hotels unless you can cope with roac...

Crazy ? TGBII odyssey planned
Group, This is my first post. I JUST bought a TGBII. Another member had his eye on it too. Sorry 'bout that. It's a '75 with 50K miles. No rust(that I can see), relocated fuel filler(Jeep). 24Volt work light, Backup camera. A couple of extras. The problem is that I am in Orlando the Volvo: San Diego...

*Update* The truck in San Diego was bought by somebody else. :( The search continues........ SixBennetts... Sorry ... I bought it. :| I've been hunting one of these for a while too. I'll post back here and let you know if you missed out or not. I sent the seller a video camera in early November and...
