Re: VERY stuck Volvo!

Thank you, that was very observant of you.
Damn, I should have thought of that myself. :)

I'll contact them and see what it gives.

Cheers,
Chris

Re: VERY stuck Volvo!

Does anyone know these guys with the small wheels?

I'm very interested to know how they made them and what they used, since I need the same for my C303.

Chris

Re: A true 24 volt battery?

I belive that for me, the most optimal would be to have 2*24V with the same size as 2*12V, then I can load them both from the original generator, and separate them as one batt for the engine and the other for consumers such winch or 24->12 inverters. Maybe a possibility to via a switch use them all ...

Re: Ignition issues

These partnumber are from the spare parts manual from Volvo, same number for both military and civilian 303.

I do belive that the B30A has a different cam shaft that the ordinary B30, but maybe an engine specialist can confirm and highligt other differences.

Re: Ignition issues

I have heard that the cap is different from Volvo 164 to the 303, but haven't got it confirmed yet. Could it be that the cap isn't the same? Do you have the Volvo part number for the 164? The partnumber taken from the spare part manual says 243658 (243803) 244264 The engine is a B30A in the 303. Goo...

Re: Sockets on the front of TGB's?

Here is a link to what they look like. There are several versions depending if they are to a C303 or older. http://classicmotor.annonsborsen.se/search/image!tabView.jspx?advert=1324573&indexImage=0 HalfWit They were restricted to buy since they were sorted under war material, not sure if that is...

I'll try to get hold of a pic of how they look like.

I don't see any reason why you shouldn't be able to plug in any light you want.
Just remember that one is always on(controlled by ignition key) and the others are controlled by the dial for military lights.

Re: Transmission slipping out of gear.

Donny Did you sort this out yet? I have experienced that the following issues can case this. 1. The linkage may need a check and tuning. 2. The rubbergasket?, the round rubberlike thingie, at the bottom of the stick can sometime force the stick to move to neutral. Long shot I know, but as I said I h...

Re: Sockets on the front of TGB's?

I know this thread are a little bit of age, but here are the answer to the question. there are two set of sockets at the front. There should be one on eaither side close to the headlights, there should be a mount close to is. Those are for the military dimmed light and controlled by the big switch t...

Re: Started video documentation for the C303 restoration!

Hi I just found your videos on youtube and I can tell you that the old license plate is Swedish, not form Norway. This also make sence since the truck is most certainly a civilian and there are some proff to that, the winch and the orange paint of the rear door for some. The Swedish govermental phon...

Re: Volvo Bodies

This sounds wierd to me.

The only place where the magnet, with the antenna for my CB radio, will stick on my Aluzinc is on the roofhatch.

How is this possible if the sides and the front/back is steelbased?
