Now that you have been home for a while, what was the source of the leak?

When the seal leaks, it drips from the passenger side rear corner on the valve cover. You can see it from underneath.

Check your rear camshaft seal, it may look like the valve cover gasket is leaking. I changed my vc gasket 3 times before figuring out it was the seal.

I now know why you are scrapping them, I took one to my local tire shop(trucks, tractors, etc) and they beat on it for 30 minutes before giving up. I took it home and cut the tire off as it was trashed anyway. My conclusion is that they must have used a special hydraulic press to mount these tires. ...

What happened to your 718?

This is a great fun every year, been registered for a month. Usually about 8 Mogs and 4 Pinz. Looks like 2 diesel Pinz this year.
