Re: Pathfinder Prototype?
The 1st Hafi mentioned in this thread belongs to Toby. It was a VT/NH farm vehicle. I'm pretty sure it came down from Canada. Before the "Pathfinder" this was known as a NA spec vehicle (bigger lights, presumably since the small light bulbs weren't readily available in Canada or the USA. T...

Re: EI Halflinger703AP
Could have just as easily been a standard 703 with the cowl changed over to a Canadian bugeye.
I like it. Longer bed would be useful.

Those Blazecut type extinguishers have been around for a few years. Very popular in my area in the air-cooled circles, and I saw one last summer mounted in a brass era Rolls.

Re: AAA says cheap, off-brand gasoline is bad for engines
In northern VT, we get access to Canadian pure "dinosaur juice" ie no ethanol through 1 local fuel distributor who buys and transports in from QC. Frankly, I trust that gas in old engines more than the brand-name stuff. If you want additives, just squirt some Mystery Oil in the tank after ...

It's been stalled at $8,600 (still below the reserve). It's worth more than that, for sure. 5 hours left..

Re: 1971 Steyr Puch Haflingher Pathfinder on Ebay
This one went through quite a restoration, based on his documentation of the rebuild on Facebook. Mark appears to be a very skilled fabricator. I'd be interested to see if it's got a title, and how the Kohler unit does.. Usually premium prices are saved for intact power plants.

Re: Another Land Rover importing red-tape nightmare
Currently, importation of any Defender or classic Mini is super risky. It seems that the inspectors have been "deeply informed" of issues with these cars and look for any trouble. An Internet purchase and shipping scenario from the UK/Europe will likely be rough. I can't believe the Minis ...

Re: 145r12 Yokohama Super Digger II's
15 inch Fiat 500 wheels, plus sidewall and tread height might get hung up on the body under load/bounce.
Also, the offset is gonna need spacers, pushing 6 inch wide wheels out quite a bit.
I'd like to see it applied, but it's not "plug and play."

Gama Goats are also articulated, with 4 wheel non-self-centering steering and, as such, are TERRIFYING and EXHAUSTING to drive at speed, on a twisting road, or in traffic..

Re: manual winshield washer pump
Any car parts store has a large selection of washer system check valves. Put one on each side of the pump (properly oriented) and it will draw up fluid and squirt.
