Re: Carbs gushing gas
While you're there: you may want to replace the carb gaskets when you take off the covers. They're just o-rings that you can find at any hardware store and will save you from future fuel spewage.

24V System Charging Help
I'm looking for a way to float charge or just charge my batteries without having to disconnect them and remove them from the compartment every time. Is there any way to do this? Ideally I'd like to be able to have it like a diesel block warmer where I can pull a cord out of a vent somewhere and drag...

If I remember correctly, I just ended up pulling it.

I couldn't agree more. Although in general older things always have better workmanship.

Pinzgauer 710K Measurement Specification
Can anyone measure the size of the rear panel on a 710K? I need the horizontal distance from where the panel starts behind the rear door, to where it ends at the back end. I need it measured halfway between the roof and the rub rails. Anyone who can help: thank you! Context: I'm advertising on the b...

Re: Pinzgauer Cost in 70s?
So here's some info for you guys I dug up. Profpinz is spot on with the '74 civi 710 costing around $16.5K AUD. At the exchange rates in 1974 it would equal about $24,000 USD. Now if you factor in the inflation from '74 to 2014 it comes out to about $115K give or take. Not a cheap truck.

Re: Intercom
Hey there! I have some info on being able to convert the bose headsets to 3.5mm to be used with iphones or radios. I did this to mine and activated the ANR (active noise reduction) and it is AWESOME. Totally worth the work and time.

Re: Can you help me source an intercom system?
Hey there. I purchased some bose tactical triport headsets and converted them to 3.5mm plugs. This way I can connect them to an iPhone, or any other 3.5 device and use them for phone calls, music, or comm. through a modern 3.5mm intercom system. They have Active Noise Reduction as well as passive, a...

Starter Replacement
Does anyone have any information on replacing the starter? A new starter is on its way and I have no idea where to start. It is a 710K if that changes anything. Any information no matter how minimal is a huge help!
Thanks in advance!

Re: Intercom
I don't believe you can use Bose headsets with a vic1 since I'm assuming Bose has aviation plugs and the vic1 a unique multi contact, large plug. When I was considering an intercom I was thinking about this one, http://www.sportys.com/PilotShop/product/9030 It's a Bose Triport Tactial and uses the ...

Anyone running an intercom system. I've bought bose headsets and am looking for an affordable system to run them through. I found VIC-1 and 2 but it gets expensive fast. Any help?
