Re: Fat Fab in need of assistance.

Glad it worked out Where did you source a new engine?? It was a core engine that Fat Fab and Goatwerks collectively built. On the core, we've got new heads, SSI, carbs, perfect tins, etc. etc. Absolutely beautiful in looks and more importantly, silky smooth in performance. Unfortunately, we've stil...

Ferrari parts to the rescue ! 23718368_10154750418722142_1365181457_n.jpg (Actually, more of a band-aid, but it allowed the truck to get buttoned up for the night. The pipe and fittings shown above are used in Ferrari 360 paddle shifted cars, and something I had in stock back at my office. Naturall...

Whoo hoo! Now that was a whole steaming pile of fun. Passenger side upper muffler bolt is a cherry to remove, turning the wrench a whole 1/5000 of a turn at a time.

All done. Perfect fit. Thank you Scott @ EI !

Re: Crap. Not what I wanted for 2017.

Bad news? The muffler is well and fully blown to bits -- and driving seems both noisy and dangerous to my lungs. Good news? Scott @ EI has already booked an outbound shipment with a new muffler and gaskets. :)

All that's left is to start soaking my nuts and gently massaging them.

Crap. Not what I wanted for 2017.

Not what I wanted for New Years Eve. The back side of my muffler just exploded whilst trying to start the truck tonight. Big huge backfire (my ears are still ringing) and the whole back of the muffler is buckled and peeled off.

Ugggg.

No noticeable difference on my 710M. I have a winch from Andre (Fat Fabrications) and a WARN XD9000 winch.

Re: Pinzi SSI

It's fun to be able to play around with the settings and see how performance changes. The default program is the best for overall usage. The laptop is not connected while the engine is running. You guys have such clean trucks! I must be doing something wrong. Literally, my Pinzgauer looks like an N...

Padlock for tool/battery box

Does anybody have a nice/easy solution for locking the exterior tool box and/or battery box? A small combination lock would be ideal, but I can't seem to find anything in the correct size.

Re: engine swaps...????

In my case, I feel like the installation of PinzSSI is like a new engine!

Much better startup, smooth idle, smoother acceleration, reasonably decent speeds on the highway, etc. etc. My 710M is an absolute dream to drive now -- I simply cannot understand why I didn't have it sooner.

Re: Pinzi SSI

OMFG! This is not a paid endorsement, but OMFG !! Andre (Fat Fabrications) was in town yesterday and slammed this kit into my 78 710M. Absolutely transforms the truck. Smooth as silk, purrs like a kitten, easy on the ears, easy on the nose.... etc. etc. Insane transformation of the running performan...

Re: Fat Fabrications East coast travel plans.

Sweet!

I've got a PinzSSI kit that I was going to install, but if you're in town... wanna do it? A chunk of hours = a wad of cash in your pocket? :)

(p.s. I'm back to daily driving the truck and so happy to have it again in North Carolina!)

Re: Pinzi SSI

Got my PinzSSI kit today. Insane fast shipping, great packaging, and solid installation guide. Now, I just need to find some time and cooler temperatures to spend a few hours wrenching. :) Thanks!

Back home again!

I don't post here much, but I lurk quite a bit! I want to give a massive shout out and "kudos" to Andre Swanson (Fat Fabrications) and Todd Hoffmaster (Graeman LLC http://www.graeman.com) for their incredible work on my 710M and transport back to North Carolina. :) In March, Andre came to ...
