Re: Axle problem
Finally finished repairing the rear axle! :D I had to weld completely two old holes on both parts of the axle's tube, drill new holes for the locking bolt, and cut a new thread. During assembling at this time we used the analog of Loctite, hopefully in the nearest future i won't need any repair of t...

Re: Who needs a 712K when you can have this Gwagen?!
Not so sure about the color scheme but that is a pretty nice 710k Andre posted.. Is there more info on that one? That one is from here: http://pinzgauer.spb.ru/gallery/pinzgauer-photo/techcentr-gallery It is a kind of showcar, was done for exhibitions! I know these guys, they can do a lot of improv...

Re: Axle problem
I will try to keep it simple, when the tire hits the body especially locked and under shock load it causes that tire to abruptly stop with power still being supplied to the small drive gear on the axle. This turns the small gear(upper drive axle gear) into a high torque Sun gear and the larger driv...

Re: Axle problem
Are there examples of installation? And what is the purpose? Do not allow the suspension to work in the upper direction?compunerdy wrote:He probably needs them after looking at the videos..

Re: Axle problem
Instead of new pins, new springs, lifts and mods - what about new, smaller tires? Generally the tires are much more expensive than the springs and shock absorbers .. so I'll change them when they will be worn out.. And one more... no one has explained how the contact with the body leads to the dest...

Re: Axle problem
After looking at your video I can plainly see your tires are too tall . If they exceed 34"(86.36CM) they will contact the body under articulation, especially the fronts while turning. The lack of locktite on the mating surface is also a factor. The Red Bull truck tires were too tall, they rubb...

Re: Axle problem
I also need to think about the weak point in the transmission which will be broken in the first, but it seems odd that this is happening with the destruction of the axle's body! It will be better to make a lighter locking bolt so that it whould be cut off in case of overloading without destroying th...

Re: Axle problem
Here is a method of strengthening the front axle, which made by my friend! He made a new bolt for the spring cup, which has the same cone, an inch longer than the original, and the same length as the locking bolt down! Then he drilled a hole in the inner part of the axle...Working good yet! 8) One...

Re: Axle problem
I think that in the previous repair there was no loctite using! My mechanic suggests to brew axle's tubes in several places welding small areas so that they could then be cut at the case of repair! In his opinion, this will further strengthen the attachment and if it starts cranking, it can be seen ...
