Re: Flying Spanners - the 5.1's

KAMO OKO VIDI have both 5.11:1 and 5.99:1 and they have them with the extra "drive" on the pinion for the centre axle on 6x6

Re: Engine temperature sensor - has anyone added one?

To monitor my engine oil temps/pressures I use both, an oil pressure gauge and an oil temp gauge (VDO). For cylinders and heads I occasionally point one of those temp guns with the red dots, mainly to see any temp difference between cylinders. My oil temp sensor is mounted under the oil thermostat b...

Zenith? Yes.
Stromberg? Yes.

Zenith-Stromberg 175 CD 2 SE

Hope this helps.
I had a sneaking suspicion this was technically the case.

Re: Hard to start if it sits for more than a few hours

There is still fuel in the filter. Fuel is also present in the Zenith carb bowls. Like the choke circuit is not passing fuel. Zenith carbs??? On a Volvo! are you sure? Once the carb bowls are full fuel can't drain back out, it's only ways out are through the intake system or if left sitting it coul...

Re: Fuel Pump Pressure - NDIX Carb

No worries, also a great idea IMO https://www.demon-tweeks.com/au/malpassi-filter-king-fuel-pressure-regulator-and-filter-243259/ I'd never heard of the "Filter King" pressure regulator/filter before I saw the one on my Volvo tgb1314 (fitted to all tgb's as OEM fuel filter) and I reckon they are a g...

Re: Fuel Pump Pressure - NDIX Carb

Also I just remembered posting this thread ages ago, it was titled "zenith carb info pages" and the links in it have by far the best ndix carb information I've found...well worth a look at them if your about work on your ndix zenith. Old thread. I found the pages in the link below to be so informati...

Re: Fuel Pump Pressure - NDIX Carb

For the 36 NDIX I've also read that 2.5 psi is a good fuel pump pressure but also that anywhere between 2.5 and 4.5psi should work well. Flow rates for the ndix32 and 36 carbs is a good question However my Pinz and Haffy repair manuals do shed some light...well I think they do, also Jims "Goatwerx" ...

I found a similar one a while back but it's use was even more impressive.

Naturally I found this after I spent 12 plus hours drilling out, re tapping and re seating the seized glow plugs in my 606.

Re: WTB: Brake fluid reservoir complete or caps

So Steyr used quite a few different reservoir versions over the years. My late model 712 (85) has one that is completely different to those pictured. For one the senders are mounted through the centre of the caps, like the one in the above link.

Re: WTB: Brake fluid reservoir complete or caps

Check this one out, it looks spot on but confirm its right by pt#. Same seller has a whole list of FAG/FTE brake caps and reservoirs. Vince might be able to give measurements of a G460 master cyl cap to confirm if they are the same as the pinz. http://www.eurotruck-importers.com/index.php?main_page=...

Photos don't load anymore!

I've seen at least one other post that mentioned photos not loading properly since the forum updated to this new format so I'm not the only one who's experienced this. Has anyone else experienced this? It would be great if there was a simple fix.
