8 wheel pinz
Has anybody built a Pinz with more than 6 wheels? I know Tatra built some trucks on the same principle with two steering axles and two rear axles, maybe more.

Re: Battery going dead
Thanks RMEL. I hit the connector with some elecroclean as it was the only thingI could find. Got it surprisingly clean. I plugged it back in and cranked it up and the voltage went way up, like 39 volts according to my meter. I unplugged and replugged a few times and it was showing 28.something when ...

Battery going dead
My batteries are going dead on my 710. I checked the voltage at the batteries and it does not rise with engine running. I opened up the Molinex connector that goes to the alternator and there is quite a bit of corrosion in there, probably my problem. I will replace it when I have time or have to, bu...

Re: 4 WD light
I grounded the terminal going to the switch at the bulb socket and the bulb lit. Did not try grounding at the switch itself, so maybe it is wire, but probably not. Done with maintenance and repairs for now and back to the grind. Going to car wash and pressure wash down there before I get back to it....

4 WD light
My 4 WD light is not working. Truck goes into 4WD but light does not come on. I seem to recall changing the bulb to no effect. I was under truck today and decided to look at switch. I pulled cover off. Thought switch would come with it but it didn’t. Could not see in there due to muffler. How does s...

Hard starting hot
My Pinz takes a lot longer to start when it is hot. It starts instantly when engine cold regardless of air temp. Takes a bit of cranking when hot. Ideas?

Re: Here's a challenge for ya!
I had a similar situation with two saws. It turned out the gas I was buying (in early summer) was “winter blend” and would boil when the saws got hot. I believe low atmospheric pressure makes boiling happen at a lower temperature. The fuel I had trouble with was alcohol free. When I switched to the ...

Re: Dash fasteners
I got all 5 in and snug, holding them from the back as suggested.
The new ones came with a plastic “nose” but no clear way to keep it attached so I did not use them. Any insights?

Dash fasteners
I am having trouble with my dash fasteners, the 5 little quarter turn things. Do not know what you call them. It looks like turning the screw head is supposed to make a rubber grommet swell and grab, but in my case the whole thing just turns. I bought some new pieces and they just turn too. I just t...

4wd engagement
My truck tends to stay in 4WD after I flip the lever back up. Anybody want to tell me me about the system before I start exploratory surgery? Any parts or tools to have on hand? Also light never comes on for 4WD.

Re: TC-W3 as a fuel additive
I read the referenced site. Can’t say I am impressed. There is no plausible way that adding 2 cycle oil increases gas mileage 2%. I doubt such a small amount of oil in the gas would hurt anything other than your pocket book. Maybe a fouled plug at worse

Clutch slave cylinder trick and question
I was having a hard time installing the new rubber on the piston. I drilled a 1” hole in a 2x4 and pressed the piston into it and put the block of wood in a vice. This made it easy to put the rubber piece on. Once it was on, I split the piece ow wood to get the piston out. My question: my pushrod wa...
