Re: Best off road GPS
I use a Garmin NUVI 2557LM that was on special at Costco for $99. I loaded my Topo US 24K Southwest maps onto a micro SD card and it reads them fine (I also added PLSS and SMA maps). The base map that comes installed is detailed enough to route on forest service roads in my area. It acquires sats qu...

Re: 710M Color wiring schematic
85 and 86 are terminals to the relay coil and are not polarity sensitive ie. the numbers don't matter in this particular case. I have a Hella 24V automotive relay in my hands at this moment and guess what? The coil terminals are numbered 85 and 86. Moreover, the contact terminals are numbered 30, 87...

Pinz RC body on ebay 1/10 scale
There's not much to see in the listing, but it appears to be a 1/10 scale 710M race truck body for an RC car. If anyone here has the RC hobby and Pinz addiction, this might just be the thing you're looking for. http://www.ebay.com/itm/Pro-Line-Recon-RC-scale-truck-body-Pinzgauer-proline-1-10-/251800...

Steyr Puch lists part number 7161541531. It is ordered on request - no price given on their web site.

Re: E-trac mounting height?.
I always figured the belts are fitted to keep off-road passengers on the high side (end) from becoming off-road passengers on the low side (end) when conditions change the gravity vector. This is an entirely different set of circumstances from those in the sfi guide.

Happy New Year, Mike! At 3:27 a.m. either you were up really early this morning - or got to bed really late.

Re: First drive in the snow today!
Sounds like a nice run, but with my limited experience I think I should wait for better weather. The trail reports I read say it's pretty difficult. Yeah, I know, they're j__ps, but the trail pics are pretty good. http://www.virtualjeepclub.com/showthread.php?82360-Sunflower-Mine-4-11-14-first-loop-...

Re: Mass Air Flow Sensor -- cleaning
Shouldn't the MAF be located after the air filter as in most vehicles? It seems odd that it is placed before it. Most EFI vehicles have it placed 3-4 inches upstream of the throttle body.

First drive in the snow today!
Having just bought our 710M last July, we were blessed with our first snowfall of the season here in Yarnell. We went down the hill to Stanton via the primitive road before the snow began and made the return at around noon with 2"-3" of snow on the ground. Kept the Pinz to a sensible speed...
