Re: Engine stumble halp

According to the description and the video, your pinz has the Pinz SSI. So it does not have a distributor cap per se, the timing is set by the red LED, and the cylinder sequence is very much different than the original as it fires on two cylinders at a time with the waste spark. Download the instruc...

Re: Gasoline stabilizer??

Thanks! I guess my main question was whether Stabil had any negative effect on these older engine components as ethanol reportedly does. If not, Stabil is going in.

Gasoline stabilizer??

Based on readings here about potential adverse effects of ethanol on older engine components, I have been using ethanol free gasoline in my 710k whenever possible. Recently I was able to acquire a 300 gallon storage tank for ethanol free gasoline to use in my Pinz and other small engines. But, not k...

Looks great Ron! I am looking forward to your posts on an overhead console. I have been contemplating one for a couple years and just can't decide on how I want it. Hit the trail!

Re: Intercom + phone + ham radio solution?

I use some older model Sensear headsets. model SM1x SR. That model is no longer made and new ones are outrageously priced. But one can find the older models on eBay reasonably priced and in very good condition most of the time. It uses a rechargeable battery that can only be factory replaced which m...

Back on topic! Any update on how these are working and installation? I am particularly interested in the All in One units.
Jason, did you get yours installed?

Re: What is this name plate?

Yes, 2 languages present indicating "last appraisal or tax ". But I am more interested in what is was for. I am surprised a military vehicle would be taxed. I have seen some Pinzgauer photos showing circular stickers of various colors applied on the lower half. Let me hear form some of our forum fri...

Re: Any tricks for removing rub rails?

The old ones I removed were certainly not teak. I thought white oak to be a good choice when I remade mine; fairly stable and stout. But certainly it may not be the original species.

Re: Factory Seat Straps

I too would be interested in the technique. I have replaced several and have tried many different ways and home made "tools". But 6 minute for a whole seat? I have to learn about that. Thanks

What is this name plate?

This nameplate was on the driver front of my 710K attached just inside the headlight. I can make out one word."taxation". Anybody know what this is and the purpose? Thanks See attached, (I hope)

Re: Any tricks for removing rub rails?

I agree with Ron but I had trouble drilling the spinning screw heads. Since I was replacing the rub rails, I found it easier to drill through the rail at an angle to sever the screw shank. I then had to drill at the nutserts. Afterward T nuts were welded in place. They won't spin.

I have the PinzSSI 2.0. Can one get only the 3.0 "distributor" module that is metal and allows easier timing change as you reported?
