Re: Suggestions for where to run wires to batteries.

Ron, The batteries will be located inside of the framework, which is why I’m trying to decide which way to go into the battery box. There will be a bank of two in parallel. I’ve already had them in place without the charger. This framework will be part of a expanding bed and will have the electrics ...

Suggestions for where to run wires to batteries.

I’m adding a 12v system into my 712K and needing to run cables from the batteries to my dc-to-dc charger. Should I drill a hole on the top, rear, or right side of this area to run the cables? DC1F132A-64BD-42E4-8E0A-91B02F486C01.jpeg There will be a framework around that area so the cables won’t be ...

Where can I purchase one of these?

I seem to have lost one of the screws that hold the aluminum foot plates down. Does anyone know what they’re called and/or where I can buy one?

Thanks

Re: Small gauge size in dashboard

Thanks for the information and suggestions. I ended up talking to a friend who has a CNC plasma cutter and got some adapter rings.

Cheers

Re: Sound Control: General theory and Pinz specific issues.

Vince, Thanks for your update as I have been looking to finally make some purchases. I had noticed Heco wasn’t selling the mats anymore. What would be the best alternative? I’m specially looking at the floor near the rear doors in my 712K, not just for sound but also for a great deal of heat coming ...

Small gauge size in dashboard

I’m looking to add a gauge to an open position on my dash. When I remove the plastic cover and measure the hole it seems to be 60mm, or just over 2 1/3”. I see gauges with bezels of 2 1/4” but nothing larger until you get to over 3”. Has anyone installed into the smaller holes and what size gauge di...

Engine temperature sensor - has anyone added one?

After melting my #3 piston, I want to add a temperature sensor to monitor #3 and/or #4. I found a 12MM CHT SENSOR designed for air cooled engines to be attached under an engine bolt or spark plug. Has anyone added this type of sensor or any other?

Thanks

Someone told me these are primarily glued in, but I can't recall the specifics of the conversation. Anyone know the best way to dissolve the glue?

Re: Engine cover sound and heat reduction

I’ve read that many times :) . Vince briefly mentions lining an engine cover on the inside and then having an upholstery shop cover the outside. I’m looking for other experiences with doing this as well as specific materials for lining.
