Re: PinzSSI Install issues

Ok on the passenger side there is a white wire supplying 24volts and went to the one side of the suppressor which was removed to install the SSI, that white wire was butt connected to the yellow wire which goes directly to the SSI and it provides 24 volts. On the drivers side there is a red wire whi...

Re: Stock Pinz exhaust questions

I have to add that the stock exhaust with the slip joint is awesome. I was doing some serious wheeling and ripped out a huge stump which ripped my whole exhaust rearward the exhaust separated at that slip joint if it was any kind of hard connection I would have destroyed the whole exhaust! It took ...

Re: Stock Pinz exhaust questions

Thanks so much for the replies, I think I will disassemble and take a look how that expanding clip engages the pipe and perhaps a better seal could be figured out...if not then perhaps retrofit but that would be my last option. I am one of those purists that hate changing designs...the only change I...

Stock Pinz exhaust questions

I have recently upgraded to SSI ignition (why did I not do this sooner?) and newly rebuilt carbs. Vehicle runs great but has a popping in the exhaust on deceleration on a downhill slope. I suspected exhaust gaskets and poked around looking for carbon tracking around the manifold but found no sign of...

Re: My latest project - Disc Brakes for a 710/712

Yes...the stock braking system is my least favorite part of my Pinz, I liken it to the Pinzes Achilles heel...if a reasonably priced disc brake system could be produced for off road use of course!!!...I would be very interested in purchasing a kit

Re: Electric steering for 710/712s

Found a post on a french pinzgauer forum which shows that someone there has sourced a true "24vdc" steering assist system - so no 24vdc to 12vdc converter required and the size of the electric motor is smaller. It suggests the cost of the core unit is about 400 Euros (not including other ...

M35a2 for sale

Time has come to let go of my deuce and before I go to the ebay and craigslist route I figured I would see if any of my Pinz family would like a really clean deuce. I originally bought it to bob and make into the ultimate 4x4 but after getting it home and crawling around looking at the condition of ...

I would have liked to see pics of the spacers you made and what machining you did to the ends of the axle.
