Glygoyle 30 is NOT an automotive lube: it's an industrial grade oil for extreme applications, when exceptional resisance to corrosion is required. It is tremendously expensive but, according to SDP, lasts (almost) forever. When I bought my 716k, not knowing her history, I opted for a full fluid chan...

Thanks Peter ... my English is not as good as I wish ... I once had an English girlfriend who told me that the easiest way to learn a language is in bed. 8) Unfortunately, she was in Italy just for summer vacation, and so we gave each other quite a few lessons, and it was so nice .. It was many many...

Nigel,

Very interesting ... could you be a little more specific about conversion?
Other question: up to what extent engine will be reliable after such 30% increase of power? The stock power increase is about 10 hp only, if I remember. What is a reasonable boost pressure increase?

Thanks,
Ugo

The lock switches wiring on my TD had been messed up by some idiot working for the "famous" Swedish seller.
That so-called car electrician did so in attempt to solve a probeml caused by a stuck contact in the 4x4 lock actuator. I went crazy to trace such double failure ...

Also check that the vacuum filter under the dash is not clogged. Check that you have no leaks in vacuum pipes at the 3 plenums under passenger side floor. Check actual locks operation not trusting on telltales only (I had a bad contact in 4x4 lock, and telltale was always on even when 4x4 was not en...

Yep, military (vehicular) radios are damn heavy, but fully waterproof. They have no vents or holes; covers and panels have gaskets, and also controls have gaskets on their shafts and levers. Years ago I had a 710M with radios mounted in place of a bench seat ... after driving on dirt, I used to wash...

Trasfer case removal

I am having an oil leak form the transfer case on my 716k.
Should the tran. case be removed for overhaul, what sort of job shoud I be prepared to do? (or ask the repairman to do?)
Would the damn thing drop down by undoing some bolts, or is a central tube extensive disassembly work needed?

Thanks,
Ugo
