Re: Sudden poor performance

I would pull the distributor cap and check it for moisture. I have this issue with my 712 and again with my 710 a few weeks ago after a temp drop... and some river crossings. Everything looked and felt tight but there was enough water in there to cause issues. Hopefully just a little WD40 will fix y...

bad gas... quick fix

Hi all, Last Sunday I was headed back down from Barnwell back to Houston and started to get some weirdness with the engine power in my 712. In short, it didn't feel smooth but I thought I was just getting buffeted by the gusty wind. Things got worse and power went lag-surge and then a thump, then so...

Re: Who did the Texas Gambler 500?

The Tx Gambler 500 was in Lockheart at Rally Ready driving school.

If you get the chance to go to one, check it out. Don't expect much but the people make it great fun.

Re: Who did the Texas Gambler 500?

I was there with my 712FAL as a support vehicle (drive ahead of my buddy's $100 Exploder and pull him out if need be). It was great folks, a lot of fun, Very cold (for me, freezing, mist & wind) and BYO everything... including porta-potty. That said, the guys at Rally Ready knew what they were doing...
