I managed to fit mine to the top hole, wasn't easy.

If you haven't done this before, a couple of pictures.

The frame has prongs to hold the cushion flaps on, the flaps have holes in them for the prongs.

Thanks to pcolette for the better OEM drivers seat cushion. Got it installed today. Getting the flaps off of the frame prongs was easy with tugs on the flap with linesman's pliers. Since we rebuilt our 710M carbs last spring the Pinz has been running clean, smooth and strong, whether on the highway, long dirt roads, mountain grades or crawling. We had a similar problem on ours, replaced the pump suction and pressure valves and the accelerator pump jets and nozzles, runs great now. Fuel was dripping from the nozzles. Probably could have purchased rebuilt carbs for not a lot more than what we spent on rebuilding ours.
