Re: Engine Oil Level Too High
Re-opening this thread since I have a similar issue. @bbolander, are you sure the original fuel pump was not at fault? Early in the thread you said you saw fuel underneath it upon removal, but then later you felt the choke-plate misadjustment was the issue and you thought the pump was fine as were ...

Re: OEM seat bottom removal and install
If you haven't done this before, a couple of pictures.
The frame has prongs to hold the cushion flaps on, the flaps have holes in them for the prongs.

Re: OEM seat bottom removal and install
Thanks to pcolette for the better OEM drivers seat cushion. Got it installed today. Getting the flaps off of the frame prongs was easy with tugs on the flap with linesman's pliers. I had to bend the prongs up to get the replacement seat on though. Fortunately only one of them broke off. The old seat...

Re: Fuel pump replacement
Not hard to remove and replace and a new base gasket comes with the pump. I thought I had a bad fuel pump with fuel in the engine oil, but the pump turned out to be fine, the carbs were the source of the fuel in the oil. We ended using the same NAPA M60175 fuel pump that was on the Pinz before we st...

Re: Speedometer removal
I think you have it covered. The 90 degree angle fitting is optional; I think if you check it carefully you will find that the output (the side that goes into the speedo) is several percent faster than the input. If your mechanical speedo reads faster than it should, remove the 90 degree unit and c...

Speedometer removal
Lots of good threads on speedometer repair, but didn't see any on speedometer removal. I'm ready to take mine out for repair or replacement. Here's what I'm guessing needs to be done. Remove the burled trip odometer knob on the front side of the dash via the set screw, and the nut on the dash front ...

Re: Got the Ham and CB radios mounted, DC outlet for GPS nex
We found that it's very hard to hear the Ham and CB radios going at highway speeds. So today I added external speakers to both. Used a Yaesu MLS-100 speaker like I have in my Rubicon for the Yaesu FT-7900R ham radio, and a Uniden Bearcat BC-7 speaker for the Uniden Pro 520XL CB. The MLS-100 speaker ...

Re: Cold air lever
Resurrecting an old thread I know. Since we rebuilt our 710M carbs last spring the Pinz has been running clean, smooth and strong, whether on the highway, long dirt roads, mountain grades or crawling. We'd probably driven it about 600 miles. Elevations from 1500 to 9300 ft. And, getting about 15 mpg...

Re: Carburetor acceleration pumps trouble
We had a similar problem on ours, replaced the pump suction and pressure valves and the accelerator pump jets and nozzles, runs great now. Fuel was dripping from the nozzles. Probably could have purchased rebuilt carbs for not a lot more than what we spent on rebuilding ours.
