:D
Interesting. Did you attempt to mark it with a file or scribe to see if it was hard?

If it needs to be hard the part could be fabricated from drill rod, hardened and tempered to taste.

Re: Time for new front springs..

The originals should be easy to make on a lathe, in any length desired, including the hemispherical seat at the bottom of the bore. Drilling will rough out a conical bottomed hole, finish with a ball end mill to create the hemispherical seat. That's just one method of many.

Excellent! That's some beautiful work!

Is there a way to tell by the pictures if it's really an 81? F...

712 Camper, Bay Area Craigslist

https://sfbay.craigslist.org/eby/cto/6005674369.html Anyone know anything interesting about this vehicle? Aside from the California price it looks like it might fill my needs. However, I'm guessing that it's either not really a 1981 or not registered and titled in CA. I imagine it would be super sl...

Re: Overdrive (again)

Bump! So, how is it working after a few years? I suspect very well as there are hot rods with this overdrive unit and turbo volvos that have a lot more power and torque. I'm curious about a couple things, had you considered a P type, which is supposed to be a later, slightly more robust version, and...
