What are you seeing at the gates fuel filter at the front of the engine? Is there fuel in it or is that also empty?

I could really use some clarification on this since I am struggling at the moment with my new pump leaking from the top seals. Is the correct way to stab the right corner bolt and hand tighten then swivel the pump up towards the left side and press into place before bolting the left corner bolt? My ...

If I went the NV4500 route I would want to pair it with the rover LT230. I've been on the fence over diesel vs petrol. Where's the hangup with it? It's definitely not a large transmission in comparison to many others and the length is such that it wouldn't push the xfer past the stock location. What's the reasoning? Looks like you have significantly more room to work on poop in there with the 2.8 over the B30.

One consideration with swapping to the R2.8 is that you will more than likely need to switch to 12v since your alternator options with this engine (as of right now) are only 12v. I contacted many alternator shops about the feasibility of rebuilding one of these alternators as a 24v unit and received...

I was originally looking at the R2.8 for diesel or the LQ9 for petrol mated to a NV4500 and the LT230. I've done the measurements and both fit the short drivetrain requirement. Please do post progress pics!!
