Damn. Your shutter button finger has GOT to be sore! :)

A curiousity question. What is the purpose of that “Y” strap on top the cab?

Re: Aftermarket Soft top maker

It came from Ray, somewhere around Dec of 2018. At the time I bought what according to him was going to be his last produced top because he was physically unable to do it anymore and reliable help was hard to come by. If things have changed since then, that's great.

Now, take a 712, your considerably slower.

Other than its weight, what makes the 712 that much slower?

Ring Gear Replacement.

Slowly making my way through a list of things that need to be addressed. My nest big one will be starter gear grind. I am going to assume the ring gear teeth and possibly starter gear are worn so... I’m good with pulling the tranny, supporting engine and that biz, but I’ve never actually r&r’d a...

Re: New RollpaX gas cans

Those are neat and probably as well made as you say, but unless I had some life changing reason to absolutely have to have that design, I’d put a gallon of gas in an empty milk jug before I spent $170 for something that only holds 1.5 gal of fuel. Sometimes money spent isn’t money spent well.

Good looking rig! Andre does nice work. I'm curious about that top configuration and how it all attaches. I bought one OUT of Florida last year, but I need to get an updated photo. It's got a new tan Tuff River top on it now, but wish it was black.

Re: Sitting 4+ years, checklist for resurrection...

Dono, haven't seen a compatible parts list other than the one on Jim's Goatwerks Website -- and a starter is not listed. If you can find this other list it would good to share. I may be misinterpreting what’s on the list. It’s the one on mad scientist hut.com or some such. It’s well known here, I’m...

Re: Sitting 4+ years, checklist for resurrection...

Starter sounding a bit more like a possibility, given the PO's comments. A stuck pinion gear, possibly a bad wedged solenoid. Again most Alternator/Starter rebuild shops can handle this starter. It's a 24V Bosch, it's a pretty common housing, bushings, and pinion, with the exception of the solenoid...

Re: Sitting 4+ years, checklist for resurrection...

Do you know the PO personally, or just as a seller? If the latter you've probably found why it hasn't started in 4(6) yrs. The symptoms sound an awful lot like a seized engine.

SW Ohio. Cincy area? I'm up in the Canton area.

This one. This one I've personally witnessed when I was in India. Sketchy as hell at highway speeds, but those drivers just motored on down the highway like business as usual.

Re: US Ford transit wheels fit the 712k!!!!!

The issue is not the Bolt hole pattern, that's on the money. The issue is the stud thread engagement. The wheel I bought is from one of the top tier after market Wheel manufactures, "Road Ready Wheels". Supposedly 100% to OEM specs. Do you have Transit Wheels on your rig? If so please mea...
