Re: Loss of power/Stumbling....

Honestly this is out of my realm. But anyways... How do the contacts look on the cap? Maybe clean them up with sandpaper if you haven't done so already. Have you checked the timing? Whenever I've had similar issues with my Pinzgauer I would start with checking plugs for gap and condition, valves, ti...

Re: 24V Fan Motor

Do you have a pic of the fan? I need a fan on my ambo box. It'll probably be better to get a maxxfan or such but curious.

What other parts are up for sale?

Re: How Does One Go About...

Look underneath the bed sides. They're on the edge. Most likely there are little removable caps that simply pop off to gain access to the bolts. Three bolts on each side. That's all that holds em down as far as I know. At least for a 712.

Re: Whoa is me, truck running poor!

@heinz

Thanks, Ill check those bypass holes in the carbs. I doubt they're plugged as I got them refurbished and only have a few thousand miles on them, but I will definitely take a look.

Also, that explains the purpose of the insulation on the intake manifolds, I appreciate the information!

stock 710/712 tail light housing

OEM used, dusty tail light housing. Looks like a previous owner got white paint on them which shouldn't be visible after mounting. No bulbs or anything included, just the housing. $30 plus shipping from 81427. Prefer Zelle QuickPay which all major banks have, no setup required. PXL_20210109_22052095...

Im in the southwest corner of colorado, my guess is there are fifteen or more pinzies in a 50 mile radius, and at least one haflinger. Living in the so called Switzerland of America. Static compression on cylinders 1-3 are all even at 100 psi. Which is not great. I want to do a full top end rebuild,...

Update

Hey folks! rmel and joeri, thanks for the responses! After the first post I found that the front carb had loose bolts on the throttle body. The rear intake manifold was loose on cylinder four, missing a nut but still snug. Also there were no gaskets between the intake manifolds and the heads. Those ...

Re: Whoa is me, truck running poor!

Agreed☹️

Is there a source for new pistons? There must be many piston manufacturers, I'd like to think that there's an option outside of buying used or nos parts.

Re: Whoa is me, truck running poor!

Additional information; I live at 8000' Installed rebuilt carbs spring 2019 Weeks ago carb base nuts were loose as well as the top bolts. All have been tightened. Did not coincide with rough running. Carbs were rejetted for altitude. As for running rough, low power off idle, checked the fuel solenoi...

Whoa is me, truck running poor!

Well, last Monday morning the truck didn't want to start, but she did. I chalked it up to being Monday and I didn't want to go to work either. Truck started better for driving home, however, her running condition got worse. So last week I put in a new fuel filter, which helped on the power...

Re: Charge indicator light

This morning I disconnected the red wire from the alternator. Truck did not want to run, but when it did, 1.8 volts at B+. Hooked it back up and it ran like normal. Volts at 25.

Re: Charge indicator light

I've been tempted to drive the truck for awhile and take readings at the battery before and after operation, just to see what happens. The alternator guy has a good reputation. Not sure exactly what he did. He said the diodes tested good, the bearing is in good shape, and the alternator was not an i...

Re: Charge indicator light

Well I recleaned the alternator ground. Good to go in that realm. To be clear, I checked the ground strap that goes from the alternator to the intake manifold stud. I started the truck and while running turned off the battery switch. As expected the truck turned off. Rmel, you mentioned #53 as a rel...
