Re: Lost compression to #1, but no clue what the issue is

Head was rebuilt. Valves should be fine. Make Sure piston is not fractured under the rings. Call me, I may have rings. Doing 9 motors, let me know what bore size.

Re: Oil pressure drop, 712 Pinz

Pull the pan. Make sure the oil pump mounting bolts are all there.
If the one on the pickup port side is loose or broken the copper gasket will shift.
Other items to check are oil pump bypass valve or cam end plugs
Use 30wt oil only.

My Photobucket albums now unlocked

All of my photobucket images are now unlocked. Had to buy a subscription due to decrease in free account size/traffic.
I will try to migrate all images and re-link to my Goatwerks.com website over the winter.
Happy Holidays!

Re: 2019 SW Mogfest

Stopped in for the Friday night fire and to pick up a t-case. Talk about the middle of nowhere! Saw 3 shooting stars on the way back, it was cold with clear skies.
Very nice campground.

They all get dirty. Very normal, the crank case vents into the air box, the more blow by, the faster the sooty build up.
