Re: Overloading the alternator

Yes it would just start to drain the batts. With LED lights so cheap I wouldn't worry about it, unless you got some big halogen spot lights.

Re: heater/heat exchanger leaking?

Take off the heat exchanger plug up one end with a ball and blow some air in the other and see if it holds? Water might be fun to use too.

These guys are good, I have had them make a few one off items. Great selection of outdoor fabric too.

Not sure your plans but if you make it to San Francisco, your welcome to stay @ my warehouse in Oakland. Have a large yard if you want to do any builds. But I guess Scotts place is better for that.

And if your stuck in AZ I got a pinz I need driven from Mexico.....*grin*

You can try and charge the cell back up to the others and it should work on your charger again. You can al...

yar!

A huge thanks to Jim@goatworks for setting us up with a tune up. We have had zero trouble with the Pinzgauer. Well we did get two tires slashed for parking in the wrong place. Good 5-6 slash/punctures in the sidewalls. Mexicans love the pinzgauer, we even drove into a VW meetup. Top temp so far has ...

I should have just grabbed some LED's and be done with it. Maybe I will LED the other one and ditch the jeep tail lights. The low draw and long life seem a much better option.
