Re: Smart Car Seats

I figured that if I couldn’t find a safe way to remove them I’d just connect the airbag wires together and ground them well.

Re: Smart Car Seats

Ill be interested to see how you mount your seats. I still haven’t mounted mine. Too many projects and not enough time.

Celebration of Life for Jim Mettler

All, Colleen wanted me to pass along to the Pinzgauer group that there will be a celebration of life gathering for Jim Mettler on November 10th at the Boy Scout camp in Idyllwild, CA. The camp is located at 53155 Idyllbrook Drive, Idyllwild CA. The time will be 11 to 3PM. The format will be a casual...

Very Sad News to Report

Many of you knew Jim Mettler who frequently contributed to this forum. He passed away last Friday following his bout with cancer. I think of any other individual who had such an impact on my life for the last 15 years. I was somewhat interested in Pinzgauers and was taking about them with friends ov...

Re: Christmas Pinz

Here is a picture of my Pinzgauer in our local Christmas parade. The weather was cold but everyone had a good time.

Re: Smart Car Seats

All, Thanks for the pics. I got my seats from the guy in El Cajon (San Diego area). He still has quite a few left. I was working on them yesterday and think I came up with a plan to mount them based on your input. I only wish I could weld. I wish Andre was still in SoCal to fab something up 8( Bruce

Smart Car Seats

I picked up a pair of Smart Car For2 Passion seats this weekend. I'm curious to find out how others have mounted them in their Pinzgauers. Also I'm interested in finding out how to remove the air bags and seat belt guides. If the airbags are not easily removable what is the best way to safe them to ...

For Sale 2 Interco Trxus MT Tires LT255/85R16

I have 2 Interco Trxus MT LT255/85R16 tires I need to sell. One has been mounted but never run. The other was my spare that has maybe 100 miles on it. I'd prefer that buyer pick them up but I can investigate shipping them if needed. I'd like to sell the pair together. $200 for both. Please PM me if ...

Wish I could have been there to see you win. I was dealing with a cold all weekend and crashed pretty early on Saturday.

Re: Park City UT Mog?

Vince, You didn't happen to notice if Park City TV still had their 2 712Ks? They were always parked over by Christy Sports. I don't think they drove them much since they always seemed to buried in snow. I only ever saw one on the road one time and that was about 5 years ago. Sent from my iPad using ...

Re: New Camping Setup

I'm using 2 Zarges 40564 and 4 Zarges 40568 boxes. They are all from the K-470 series which include reinforced corner peices to facilitate stacking. They are not cheap but I wanted to set up the interior for longer trips and the boxes are much cheaper than an Earthcruiser. The 40568 boxes are also b...

New Camping Setup

I decided to scrap the cheap plastic Costco boxes I've been using for my camping gear and got some quality Zarges boxes. I removed the other seat on the right side to make a perfect space for the boxes. They fit like they were designed to go there. They remind me of the fitted luggage from upscale '...

Re: Mojave

I ran the Mojave Road from the Avi Casino near Laughlin to Afton Canyon in my Pinzgauer with a group a few years ago. I've been wanting to go again ever since. You can easily do it 3 days with some time to stop for site seeing or short side trips. Four days would be better if you want to get in more...

1st Dakar Rally

This was just posted on the World Moto Guzzi Owners Facebook page. http://advjoe.ca/2015/12/the-story-of-the-first-dakar-rally-1979/ There is an interesting looking Pinzgauer in the background. I'm planning to watch the Dakar Rally. I always root for the Tatra teams but I'd like to own one of those ...
