Re: Sound Control: General theory and Pinz specific issues.

I just edited my old post with a couple updates. I recently "saw the light" when handling some new (or new to me) materials from 3M and Second Skin. I take back some of my original thoughts on brands and will now only be using Second Skin dampening sheets. The quality is just so far above the usual ...

Re: Bed Liner -- Good or Bad?

They cause rust eventually, or hide it anyway, unless you are in the SW maybe. I think the marketing if those kinds of products, and the somewhat blind adoption of them by pick-up owners, have made them seem like a good idea but when you really get down to it, why are they so good exactly? Seriously...

Re: Pinzgauer Rescue

It's Pinz porn! That battery compartment is rather cool. How big is it in there?

So when are you tackling the issues of those awful tires?

Re: Jim Mettler’s 712w images

I could pull a still-frame of the 712 from Jim's short film I did, if needed. I'm not sure if any of those shots would be useful for sale purposes but its not too much trouble to do.

Looking for a Steyr Puch emblem logo

Looking for an emblem. Doesn't have to be from a Pinz.

Another year!

The forums are renewed again for 2019-2020! July is the annual renewal month and since 1999 (April 2004 for this version) the Real 4x4 forums are once again here to serve our pleasure and for the sharing of knowledge. More Pinzgauer information is held here than anywhere else! Thanks again to those ...

Re: Reverse-mount 12V alternator

I can understand if you have a lot of 12v items in the truck but when it comes to winches, 24v ones are available from most brands and work better than a 12v winch as well.

Very nice work. Can you mention why you are adding this to the Pinz?

Re: Bizarre 710K

Maybe it will be nice until the diffs and transfer blow up with all the extra power, or when the next owner tries to figure out what parts are needed to fix something. Not to mention the growing number of cities that do smog testing and look for original equipment. In Ca. it would never pass any kin...

Bizarre 710K

Just ran across this ad. Can't recall a more oddball butcher job. Nissan parts, including the front end...?? Can't imagine the hours spent. Gotta love that approach angle now plus the diamond plate "fenders". The good thing is the spotlight has its own cage. Sad sight given how few K's are out there...

Re: Expedition Imports Acquires EuroTruck’s Parts Operations

I once tried a Merc. dealer parts counter and the guy got emotional/angry for no reason and basically ended up yelling at me saying "Those things were never supposed to be imported here!!"

Re: PTO overdrive

So do you have another company that wants to put time into it?

I recently saw some stuff this engineering firm did and it's top tier work. I heard they take on custom work and they have a ton of adapter knowledge.
