Re: CO Intrusion in Cabin
The stock routing works fine. There's little option for other routes anyway. Flexing your axle will likely hit it, there are heat concerns, etc. I had a far superior exhaust than stock built by a small custom shop. They used a Flowmaster muffler. I actually gained ground clearance and it looked nice...

Re: 716 Prince Philip salute
"Army Regiment wear ceremonial attire and drive in their liveried Pinzgauer..." I think it's for this kind of thing only.

Re: Check in on my WINCH PAGE!
Thought I'd share the rarest barn-find I'll probably ever come across. This is an untouched, 1979 model Warn 8274 winch with everything it came with at the time. I'll be asking a steep price. Ideal for museum-quality period-accurate resto builds. (It's not 24v but could be!)

Looking for a cable coiler reeler
I really need a collapsible coiler/winder/reeler USED. I can only find new ones but they want $400-700 for them! I definitely can't afford that so Im searching for a used one. I looked everywhere I can imagine from ebay to Clist to gov auction sites. Hardware stores often have them so Ive be...

Re: Check in on my WINCH PAGE!
Yeah, Comeup is yet another in a long list of companies who make things seem like they are US made but are far from it. Warn does make a Chinese version of their winches because they have to compete with all the junk out there but the rest are made in Oregon with some electrical parts being imported...

Re: Check in on my WINCH PAGE!
In prepping two very different winches this week, I thought I'd share a part size-comparison to help illustrate why I tell people to carefully consider the size/weight capacity of the winch they think they want. The left is the drum support of an M8000 Warn (older version '80's) and on the right is ...

Re: Electric 1972 Pinzgauer 710M Build Thread
EV West stated that they are still technically working on the Pinz but its a low priority since it is shop owned and not a customer project that they are getting paid for. If I had the money I'd take it over as a paying customer. I'd love to see it reach at least 250 miles range which sounds very po...

Re: 24v Warn winch M12000 with syn rope
Those use a simple crimped electrical type connector on the wire or rope which bolts into the side of the drum with a small allen bolt, so its the same set-up either way. As you may know the connection to the drum is not designed to support any tension at all, but it's simply a way to keep the rope ...

Re: Yellowed Back and Side Glass
It was over the top cost-wise, for me, when I looked into it. The question is, why put tempered glass in anyway? Several cars actually have laminate glass on the sides. (I was a fireman for many years who did lots of auto rescue work and trained often in junk yards, busting windshields and side glas...
