Re: Lots of cheap heaters popping up

In my case there was no previous heater so I went diesel because, mainly, I didn't see any petrol based ones available or that were priced like that, and secondly, diesel is inherently safer and more efficient.

Re: Lots of cheap heaters popping up

I found this pic of the underside of an install on a LRover but its all mostly the same. The heaters come with a piece you can use as a template for the holes. In this pic he doesn't have the fuel line hooked up yet. You can barely see it there with a cap over the end.

Re: Lots of cheap heaters popping up

Well I didn't take photos during install and this is going into a little different type of 4x4 but the install basics are the same. I'll get a pic from the underside of the heater soon. This is the main cabinet I'm just now finishing up in the back that houses the house-battery and controls - master...

Re: New RollpaX gas cans

They do swell some, though metal cans do too just not as much. The regular Rotopax cans are very well made and the plastic is super tough and thick. I like them for the size choices, ease of handling and mounting system.

New RollpaX gas cans

Saw the new RollPax cans and having been impressed with Rotoax stuff I thought these could be useful on some builds. They aren't cheap at around $170 and are made for roll-bar mounting but also do flat mounting. The quality of the 2.5g normal can they have was very nice and I had it on the Gwagen in...

Re: Lots of cheap heaters popping up

I've spent an unhealthy amount of time researching these things since that post. Being an anti-china product person, when practical, this was an odd thing for me to get into this deep but it's based on simple economics. I could likely never afford a $1000 heater so I'm looking at either, no heat, or...

Re: One weird 712

I'm curious what the front looks like. (Is curious the word?)

With that vent in the rear, you think the engine is back there?

Whatever the case, at minimum, I think the car bumper needs to meet a trash bin and the wheels replaced with something reasonable, like transits or stock. ://

Re: *Not Mine* Pinzgauer 710K on Mecum

Which I think is unfortunate in some ways since what info is shared on there is lost quickly in a messy, endless line of posts with little future value, and is ultimately all owned by a very large, somewhat dangerous corporation worth billions that also permanently stores and sells your interactions...

Re: Price Drop: For Sale: 1990 P90 718MW Diesel 6x6 OR registered

There's a chance you could talk Dave into this! :D If I could, I'd go for this Pinz. It can only increase in value and would make an amazing expo rig, far exceeding what you'd have compared to guys that are paying two or more times this amount for built-out Rovers, G's and Land Cruisers, none of whi...

I really, really.... really think it's a bad idea to get within 100 yards of that thing.
