Re: New ads. ?

It was on a thread? I only saw the new larger ones on the main board but never blocked anything. I heard you didnt have power for about a day for no reason. The wind finally hit here but of course it's done that 100 times and never caused fires until supposedly that one day. Today's culture is all a...

New ads. ?

If you sometimes see bigger ads popping up, it's some new google thing, not something I meant to happen although it won't affect posts at all. Supposedly it's going to be more relevant to visitor's interests but we'll see. The site earned $3.14 last month, just to give you some idea about how "big" ...

Re: Questions - new to Pinzgauer - about to maybe purchase 710K

The big picture here is the 710K shouldn't go faster than around 60 or 65 anyway. It's a very short wheelbase, top-heavy 4x4 that becomes super dangerous the faster it goes. I wouldn't put my family in one and drive 70mph in it. One little mistake on the highway and you are flipping over without dou...

Re: Questions - new to Pinzgauer - about to maybe purchase 710K

Your desires are very common but there is no solution like you want there to be. I've been trying to find it myself since the 90's. It doesn't exist unless you have serious money and lots of patience. I can tell from what you are asking that you'd likely be much happier in the long run with a Toyota...

Re: Bizarre 710K

There's no way on earth that thing is making past the Ca. CARB BS. You can't even get a stock '75 registered unless it's almost by error, much less this, which is purely non-stock and ultimately above the cut-off date for a non-US auto. It would be a nightmare to own, trust me on that.

Re: New member looking for a Pinz 710k

You'll think the Pinz is a race car if you got used to 406s and 404s, but the syncro is a far better road car than a Pinz so keep that in mind. WIth a family you will have to approach sound insulation at some point. It's truly deafening stock.

Exactly at a time when I cant drive anything worth bringing. Damn. Thanks for the update though! It needs a new location anyway.

Re: Arnie's 712

It's officially in LA now. The article is calling it a "large military van". Hmm, how to let his people know that I want first dibs when he's tired of it.... https://whatsnew2day.com/arnold-schwarzenegger-drives-a-large-military-van-to-pick-up-mail-with-girlfriend-heather-milligan?fbclid=IwAR0XMt_K0...

Re: Jerry Can Holder Rear?

As someone that took a 303 into the most remote part of the lower 48, the permit-only route deep into Canyonlands which was about 90 miles from the nearest paved road, I had two full cans but didn't use one of them, and 303's get around 11mpg. We just filled up before getting to that area and it wor...

Re: Volvo Information, Operator and Service Manuals

I'm not sure the manual could be scanned without hurting it. It's oddly mint as-is and might have issues if I have to open it flat for scanning. I'll have to look at it again to see if it's possible. (I store it elsewhere)

Re: Volvo Information, Operator and Service Manuals

I actually own the original english manuals but also have an ultra rare english owners manual that I think were printed for the UK market which never happened. I keep it wrapped up and locked away like it's made of gold. :)

Re: Building a solar-powered off-road truck (based on a 712M Pinzgauer)

Wow your page has some great photos and interview information on it! Everyone should go to it and take a look. I haven't seen some of that before. What kind of range are you seeing with the prototype? The conversions I've seen on other cars so far seem to hit an average 125 mile (200km) mark. Why is...
