Rear shelves in 710K

Does anybody have a photo of the arrangement of the shelves and racks in the back of a 710k? I have all the pieces but I'm not sure how it goes together.
Thanks!

Re: Poor braking in reverse

Issue solved. It was just a matter of adjusting the brakes. Still doesn't brake as good in reverse as it does in forward, but as many pointed out, it isn't designed that way. BTW, pay attention the the front brake adjustment. Make sure that both adjusters are extended equally. Mine were not and I am...

Re: Poor braking in reverse

By design the Pinz has better breaking when traveling forwards i.e. better breaking for the high speed direction. The Pinz has dual leading front brakes and single leading rear. Well, I've had some older trucks that had single leading brakes both front and rear and didn't notice this issue. I suspe...

Poor braking in reverse

Don't think a saw this on the forum before.

My brakes work fine going forward but not so good in reverse.

Is it just in need of adjustment or could it be something else?

RAT Pinz EFI

Anybody running Jake's EFI conversion and willing to share your fuel
map? I continue to have some issues and would like to see what
other owners are using for parameters.

Thanks :D

The whine is relative to the loading on the spur gears in the wheel drives. More load - more whine. Helical gears where originally developed to reduce noise in gear sets, however helical gears introduce a thrust that is not present with spur gears, requiring bearings that can absorb said thrust. Tha...

I agree with Tom - most of the gear whine is in the wheel drives. The gears in there are simple spur gears which will make more noise that helical cut gears (such as those used in the transmission). I use Red Line Heavy Shockproof Gear Oil (synthetic) in all gearboxes except the transmission and it ...

I rummaged through my mechanic friend's collection of alignment tools and
found one that worked for me. It is marked "GM 10". Just Google it - there
are lots of places to get it.

Is okay to re-use the flywheel bolts? The manual seems to indicate
otherwise, but they are pretty expensive.

Got it apart and only found that the disk was pretty thin, almost down to the rivets. Fortunately the flywheel is not scored, but I'm going to get it resurfaced anyway. While I have it apart I thought I might as well replace the rear main seal. Any hints on removing the old seal and installing the n...
