Spare breaker ok?

Well I was working under the dash and forgot to turn the power off and fried the turn signal breaker. Not sure how it happened but it happened. Anyway, it's the only 4a breaker. The others are all 8a. Would it be ok to use the spare 8a breaker for this? And maybe put a 4a inline fuse? Also, w...

The cross member is what I thought was bent. But I looked at it and checked it against the other one and it looks ok to me. The only thing I can see is that the upper spring perch is tilted a little.

I bent something.....

I'm pretty sure I bent my upper spring perch. I'm about an inch lower on the drivers side after rolling the Haf back and forth empty. The upper spring perch looks slightly bent, but doesn't seem to be enough to cause and inch difference. :? Had fun in the desert, but didn't notice it until I pulled ...

I think the earlier versions of the modules had problems for all cars. I wonder if that was the same problem or if it was Haf-specific.

Pertronix has many kits for 2-cyl applications. Possibly a pole piece to fit another distributor would work? Or maybe with a slight mod?

Yes, that's it. That's exactly what mine looks like. I hope this makes getting a pertronix in there a little easier. Now it's just a 12-volt and 2-cyl issue to work with.

Thanks for that. Now I no I'm not the only one. :D

Pinz points in the Haf???

To the Hafie experts: I ordered new points from SAV for pre-'69 Haf. Went to put them in and they're different. So thought maybe I have a later distributor. I looked at the pic of the post-'69 points on SAV's web site and they don't look like that either. Then I pulled out some old Pinz points and t...

Haf alignment specs

I just installed all new tie rod ends and had the front toe set at 0 deg. Steering doesn't feel quite right, a little darty. Does anybody have the alignment specs? It would really help. BTW, the rod ends are beefier than stock and are for an early MB 240D. I'll post the info on the yahoo database. T...

Front Locker Not Working

Well, I'm pretty disappointed, but not surprised. My front locker is not-op. There is no feeling to the handle at all. No detent, no nothing. All the linkage is attached and appears to be working correctly. I jacked the front up and used my hand to push actuator in while spinning the wheel. When I d...
