I doubt there is anything available new. All I can suggest is post to the various Volvo forums (Yahoo, Difflock, and there are at least a couple of European forums) and ask if someone has one from a truck they're parting out. There are some Swedish dealers that have been mentioned in the past, but I...

I don't remember the exact wording, but in Washington state headphones or other things covering the ears seem to be illegal too as far as I can tell. I assume the theory is they want you to be able to hear sirens and such on emergency vehicles. My Volvo is loud on the highway, so I've resorted to ea...

Pretty cool.

Of course that one YouTube video led to some other steam trucks, then Scammells, tank transporters, tank recoveries. I managed to stop after a couple of stuck tank videos, but could spend hours watching all the stuff you find there.

I have a 12v LED Littlite in a Toyota and really like it. The LEDs are nice because they run a lot cooler than an incandescent bulb. Its also got that red/white light feature although I can't say I've used it that much. I'm pretty sure I've seen the LED versions available in 24V, but they aren't che...

I don't think I've seen pictures of one of those rigs with that many trailers. Seems like it would take quite a while just to get all that moving from a dead stop. The trucks on US highways with 3 trailers tend wander side-to-side quite a bit from what I've seen. Wonder what its like with 5 on a rou...

Looked pretty steep to me from the video! From a little experience in the Volvo, having no hood in front gives things a whole different perspective when going down steep things.

Great photos and some really nice trucks. Looks like lots of fun even if there weren't any Volvo's.

One thing the marine radios seem to offer that the standard auto stereos don't is a wired remote control. They differ in functionality, but some seem to repeat at least the important parts of the main unit display that the wireless remotes don't. The wired remote opens up some mounting options for t...

Mark, I could use an AC in my C303, so I'm curious how this works out and how it seems to affect available power. Have you got some installation pictures to post? This is kind of drifting off-topic, but I used to work in a building right next door to the Red Dot facility in the Seattle area. I never...

tmixx Surely someone must insure them as there are some 6x6 driving around. Did you try sending them some pictures or anything like that so they can see what you're talking about (with some good size references so they know it isn't some 20ton monster)? There are a lot of people with 2.5 ton US mili...

If someone who has a 6x6 can't give you a name of an insurer known to have provided coverage, this might help. I have State Farm insurance on my other vehicles, and wanted to get coverage on my TGB11. The agent had to contact their underwriting group or something like that since it wasn't in their d...

My TGB11 has an ISKRA 24v alternator that is rated at 55A. I don't think this is original though. I've got an unused wire in the wire harness at the alternator and the adjusting bracket is welded out of at least two different pieces which doesn't look original either.

I made it down to Northwest Mogfest 2005 from Seattle in my C303 and had a great time at the Molloy's farm over the weekend. The Molloy family and all the other folks who put on NWMF put in a lot of work and hosted a fine event. There were lots of Unimogs of all sizes, a number of Pinzgauers, some V...

Cole,

Have you tried the Database section of the Yahoo Volvo303 group? There is a cross-reference there.
