Disk Brakes?Pics!

Its always been my understanding that the only real difference in the the older Pinzs and the diesel ones was just the motor. Did they have disk brakes as well or is this aftermarket?

Re: Carbs

I guess maybe I didn't say that right. I guess to me swapping an engine is going the long way around. I mean, the carbs can be fixed to work properly for x dollars. Is x dollars more expensive than swapping the drivetrain from a car? I doubt it. How would you make shift linkage? radiator? 24 volt v...

Re: for what?

Fix the carbs. the truck is well designed. wow, nice support. You think after 40 years there is no way to improve on this dated technology? Hmmm. I find that hard to believe. There wouldnt be so many replies on the aftermarket FI setup thread if the carbs where so peachy. Undysworld, I did not real...

Subaru Motor swap??

Ever so often, usually when I climb in and smell hints of gas, I think of motor swap options. Today while looking at a subaru drivetrain at a wrecking yard I couldnt help but notice that the all wheel drive setup has a output from the tranny to the rear. Upon measuring, it sure looks like it could f...

Well, not sure which line was plugged, but I just got under it and replaced all the fuel line from the tank to the carbs. Works great now so there was obviously a problem in there somewhere! Thanks guys. Oh and I replaced it all using 5/16th fuel line and hose clamps.

Fuel Delivery Problem-Why cant we use 5/16 fuel line?

Okay-short version: Thought my fuel pump went out again. Put electric on it to see if it would work. Nada! If I pressurized the tank, it would kick on. Thought tank was clogged and had it boiled out. Hooked it all back up and still same thing. I replaced some of the hose with 5/16 and still nothing....

Fuel Delivery issues

Ok. I had to rebuild the fuel pump twice. Stopped pumping fuel again. I decided to mount a elec 24v pump on. Still no fuel. Blew the lines in both directions. I can hear bubbling in the tank. So whats the deal? The only way to get fuel is to close off gas cap and force air into the tank. As long as ...

Pinz in the movies?

I was flipping channels the other night and saw Terminator 3 on. Lame movie by the way. Anyway, they were running for a plan at some airfield and ran right by what looked like a pinz. Anyway, not sure if anyone else has seen it, but sure surprised me. Anyone else spot Pinzs in the movies?
