I didn't do my edit in time (yes I asked for pictures that were already on the SS site), took too long looking at those pictures! Looks like a great time! The deuces really need a locker!

Unfortunately I was unable to go, a few things out of my control over the past several weeks. Yes, I could have got my Pinz back together, that's not it. It looks like the water is still pretty deep.

It's a little far north for me to come up but you could put your haffie in the back of a pickup and come down next year to the Steel Soldier's FL rally! We missed our haffie buddies that came down from GA last year. Vince, it's a shame about someone chasing you off. No one has done that here BUT I h...

That plane was on a Wings of the Soviet Union episode. It didn't fly so much as use surface effect to skim above the water if I recall correctly. Could lift heavy loads.

I like the layout/look of the 8 wheel vehicle even if it does have a flat bottom (bad for mines). Looks quite capable.

Had a blast at the FL Treffen, er uh, I mean, Steel Soldiers FL Rally! Eventually I will post some pictures. There are a bunch SixSpeed and others took on the Steel Soldiers site. It was very wet this year. Food was great, beer was cold and the trucks ran great. Thursday night was cold but the weeke...

You can fit one in the back of your 712 when you drive down for the Steel Soldier's FL Rally in Feb!

Looks like I77 and I81 are clear of snow up to Rt. 220 even if traffic is backed up. I guess I'll go for it tomorrow.

I hope you were able to dig out Vince! I'm taking chains for the last miles off the main roads.

And I'm driving up into that mess for Christmas. Won't be driving the Pinz however, too far for my rump and ears. Haven't seen snow in a while.

Here is a link to Florida law which allows military vehicles to have a permanent plate. http://www.flhsmv.gov/Leg2005.htm The application form for permanent plate allows for use in exhibition, parade or public display. "Exhibition" is fairly openly defined and since I only drive with a gro...

There are a few ways to register ex-military vehicles in Florida. The best way is as a military vehicle, this gets you a lifetime plate and no further registration charges. It seems the Florida legislature saw fit to include ex-military vehicles with "horseless carriages", i.e. really old ...

I will never do business with GEICO even though I like the cave man commercials. In the 80s they sent out a questionnaire which among other things asked what type of radar detector you had and if you liked it. If you answered that you had one you were dropped.
