Re: 900x 16 tires
As I replied to another post with a similar topic, you will develop muscle because of the additional steering effort if you drive the pinz often haha... Now that I've switched to the 750's I can tell you that highway speed and acceleration were much better with the 900's.... Mine was the fastest pin...

Re: Will These Tires Fit?
If you can get those XZL in 255/100R16 radials get them fast!!!!. They will fit perfectly and you will gain a lot top highway speed without too much compromise off-roading, just prepare to have stronger arms if you drive the pinz often... I have had 900-R16 all the time but with tubes and those are ...

Re: 900x 16 tires
In a 712M they do fit perfectly, I have had 2 sets on mine, and just switched to 750R16 radials because I was tired of the inner tubes breaking because of the rim imperfections and the weight of each tire when I had to change them or clean/adjust the breakes... but I had much better highway speed (c...

Correct lenght of rotor after Pertronix install?
Hi, I wanted to know what should be the correct lenght for the rotor after installing the Pertronix?. I did grind mine a lot when I installed it following the instructions that were posted in the SDP site, but yesterday my truck died and found out it was the rotor that ate the whole center carbon pi...

Other pinzgauer uses
Well the local Venezuelan Revolution Comitees, which apparently support the goverment as underground militias, seem to have received Pinzgauers to make terror in the streets, and so they were caught with the security cameras of a TV station when they passed and throwed gas granades to the building b...

Venezuelan Pinzgauers
Just reading the old post, and wanted to let you know that my 712M Pinz is a 1989 model. Why?. Well during 1988 to 1992 if I remember well, Steyr-Puch installed a local Refurbishing plant for the Venezuelan Army Pinzgauers, and many of them were restored from the ground-up during those years and new...

Hi, I'm finally getting the job done in a small pinzgauer shop I just found and they're old friends of mine. Apparently you have to tear down the chamber to get it done along with other things according to the mechanics, plus taking the releasing the exhaust, etc, etc... takes some work to do it, an...

Well they may look like the Spanish URO or like the Humvee but they are actually based in the frame of a Chevy Cheyenne 4x4 Pickup, they have a Chevy V8 fitted in the Engine and they are assembled in Ft. Tiuna. What they actually make is the metal body of the truck. I really dont think they are much...
