Morris, My foam was the same. I scraped it all out, including the rubber liner that the foam sticks to, and repainted the entire tunnel with POR 15. Looks a lot cleaner. The only thing is that in the winter the air tunnel is just a hair colder because it doesn't have the "insulating" foam ...

Chain Extensions

I am trying to put on my chains for the first time. I am using the instructions from SDP, but I have a question. My tires are 255/85 16 and my chains are stock. I am ending up about 3-4 inches too short when trying to connect the chains. I don't know if it is my inexperience or the chains are too sm...

Alright so here is what I've got so far: I put the plugs in last week. All of them are very black and sooty. There is equal change in rpm when I disconnect the wires at the dist. I took off the air filter and plenum. When I turn the engine on, and feather the gas I hear a "gasp" out of the...

Wow, this is all great info. I am just about to dive in, as soon as I find out what the problem is I'll let you know. Steve: Thanks for the help. Everytime I change the spark plugs, the #1 cylinder plug has usually got a little oil build up on it. So maybe I did overfill the crank case. Miles: I don...

Engine is sputtering...

My K has been running like a champ since I got it last July. After a long day at work yesterday, I got in and started it. I gave it a couple of minutes to warm up. But something was wrong. It idled smooth, as it always has. But when I feathered the throttle there was a noticable sputter. Once it cam...

I run the 285 BFG Mud's on my K. They are a very streetable tire, not very noisy and great traction in the winter. Offroad, I have no complaints.

I have been thinking about switching to the Interco's, but if it ain't broke...

Eric, I drive my 710K to work everyday. On the weekends, I put the three kids seats in the back, load up the family, and take a drive. My kids think it is so cool to ride in the pinz. The funniest thing is when we are cruising down highway and it is so loud inside the truck that I can barely hear my...

Check with Cold War Remarketing. They have a newly designed rack for K's that is fitted above the spare in the back. It is not my cup of tea because the Jerry cans sit up too high, but it is another alternative.

Mission Accomplished :D You guys were right, it was a super easy fix. I am very happy that it was just the gasket leaking. I couldn't tell for sure but once I replaced the gasket no more spots on the drive way and that makes "Mama" very happy! Anyway, thank you two for the help. With out t...

Here is the source that I used:

http://www.racerpartswholesale.com/duct.htm

I thought the red hose was interesting, it has a higher heat capacity. Has anyone else used the red hose for ducting too and from the exchanger?

Wacky, I hope this helps :D

Valve Cover Leak

My 710K has just developed a valve cover leak on cylinder #3(I think). I have a set of gaskets from the previous owner, he replaced the gasket on #4. I have replaced a valve gasket before but it was on an american engine. I am not as skilled as most of the guys on here seem to be but I'm not afraid ...
