steering gear box
I am noticing a "notch" feel in my steering. I can feel it when I turn the wheel. I am thinking it is the gear box. Does it need to be rebuilt or is there an adjustment that can be done to rectify the problem? Wondering if others have had this problem. 710 M

It has approx 50,000 miles on the engine. The engine is detailed and the underbody is clean. It has civilian ignition and Recaro seats. I have the original seats. There have been a few talks about getting together but no action. I was driving mine from Durham to the outer banks every year till this year. There is always next year.

The knobs on top will pull straight up. Just twist back and forth and pull up.

I do mean the rear axle lock. It engages, but is very difficult to disengage.
