Picked up my Pinz today

Hello all, The Calico gathering encouraged me to retrieve my Pinz from Stefan; it's in good shape and running well aside from needing a new set of batteries. I probably won't make it up this weekend; stuff to move to the storage facility. But at least I'm mobile again! BTW, I towed the Pinz with the...

I want one but...

Right now my Pinz is in storage, and I don't have the $2400 for the kit. It sounds like a really great thing to me, though, and I would order one if I could. It sounds about the level of my technical skill, which isn't a lot, but it's better than most. I could rebuild a carb (tho now I won't have to...

Speaking of history (well, add a little science), how about that whole "Pluto's not a planet thing? :?
Been there. No good bars, no hot women, and the beach sucks. Not a planet.

Justfred, Most people rely on their vehicle to get them 15 minutes to work and back.... I was being facetious. I understand and agree with your points. My point is that a personal boycott of a specific chain of gas stations is about as effective as asking people to use bicycles exclusively instead ...

What's good for the goose

There are certain so-called leaders that would be better off dead----meaning the citizens of their country would enjoy a better life without them. It would save more lives to eliminate the trouble maker instead of the people that serve them. Really? So by that argument it should be okay for some ot...

There is no truly perfect vehicle! They are all some kind of compromise. It is a matter of which you can live with, and afford. Each person has a preceived idea of want they want and have to have, then comes the need, what will you actually use. But I thought the Haflinger _was_ the perfect vehicle...

a haflinger might make an xlnt art car for burning man. where's the best place to find a good one? I was actually going to turn mine into a baby Rhinocerous, and (if I have time), the Pinz into an adult Rhino. A herd of rhinos would be a LOT better tho! (And it's no longer "Art Car" - it'...

There's plenty of room in the back to drop one or two, maybe up to half a dozen diesel engines! Oh, you mean you actually want to swap engines, not just carry them around? I'm sure others will tell you this, but my opinion is don't bother. The stock air-cooled gas engine is swell; gets pretty good g...

I'd be there myself with my two Haffies if I weren't leaving the same day on a trip. I might have some Haflinger parts I could make available if people let me know what they are looking for. Greg All I know I need is a military (swiss, if it matters) ignition switch. But if you have other parts, I ...

If I get my registration, maybe there will be a Haflinger there!
