#6 is a vapor barrier from the cab to the undercarriage. It has no effect on the fuel leak. This was a later option that eliminated the outer accordion boot from earlier models. TD’s use them.

The only “wise” EV conversion should use independent electric motors at each portal hub. Thus eliminating the weight/ drag of the Driveline components.

I had only made plans to make a delivery and perform some “routine” maintenance. But I don’t have to be back in TX until the 19th. So if anyone wants to get some assistance with their truck or just break bread and talk trucks. My number hasn’t changed and I’m in Willmington, NC.

So how do you plan to eliminate any voltage ghosting through the alternator housing?
Will you be isolating the mount to run a direct ground and power to an auxiliary battery? Or will you have a disconnect switch on the power supply to the existing battery jumper cable?
