Headlight switch tear down

I tore apart the headlight switch because I have no lights. Inside are tabs with beveled tops that ride along the switch barrel that has copper rings. There are cam lobes that lift the tabs. The main hot that comes in as well as the second hot terminal that has the red jumper wire and a third tab ha...

Looking for someone to do electrical repair work in Erie PA area

Hello. I have a 1975 710M. Having lighting issues. No power to back. Slow t/s. No marker (5w) lamps. Keeps blowing all bulbs out. Now 4500 lamp is on. Starts and runs ok. Just don't let her sit for a week without starting or have to put fuel down intake. Also, fuel looses prime after it sits for a d...

Oil api

So I'm trying to find out the proper API designation for oil. I come up with mil spec 2502 b. I got a lot of obsolete numbers but I can't find a straight answer. I see some people are running 20 50 but it's the end of the year and the manual says 30 weight. So I want to find the correct API. I tried...

Re: Locker indicator panel resturation

What a really nice job that came out. It's funny you had so much trouble with the rivets. Like that plates going to jump off the dash. But the wiper system on a pinzgauer, is the most fragile thing I've seen.

Re: Pinzgauer 710

So, are there enough pinz laying about to make a visit to Slovinia a consideration? I mean, is there a pinz in every 3rd junk yard just waiting to be resurrected? I hear your tourism has seen an increase over the last year. Could an eastern European vacation be part of a pinz finder treasure hunt? T...

All in all, a good find. I'd buy it if it was near me. Good luck and let us know on progress.

Re: Pinzgauer 710

In my opinion if the body is in bad shape I would think so. But there is a body for sale on eBay for $2500.00.; I do not remember where it's at. If you do the work, you could probably get it ready for less than finding one complete. A nice pinz will cost about $12k here in the States. So if you can ...

Re: Pinzgauer 710

Hello. Usually, you buy a vehicle and then a parts truck. You were able to score the parts truck first. Personally, I would buy it. Heck, you could sell the battery box and door to the other member of this board,Gadgetphreak, that crushed his. See, your already making money on it. So, it's no longer...

Re: Hi!....New Member

. I can't help you there. I have an M. Having that heater makes me jealous. But it's also the most complicated item on this truck. It's funny cuz it is so basic but then you look at the plumbing and wiring for the heater and it's like oh, wow.

Re: Hi!....New Member

Hey that's a pretty nice truck. You sound like you're off to a good start. I wish you were closer to Erie PA. Now all you have to do is get ahold of Vince and get a couple of shirts. Does it have the auxiliary heater?

Black Rifle Coffee

Check out this site. They have Pinzgauer in their videos. I bought their coffee before. It's pretty good. And that was before I knew they like Pinzgauer

Re: Clutch issue

Thank you for the clarification and validation of the information you put out. I have similar feelings on the situation I just wanted to be sure since used ones were offered. I had a private message from another board member who also explained a good argument to buy new. Saving a hundred bucks now v...
