crAZ_Azhole If I am not mistaken I have invited yo to come ot one of the meeitngs, next Tuesday night. I have both the 712 and the 710. While the 712 is much easier to drive offroad and requires less learning the 710 is more "fun" to drive. It provides a certain challenge that just does no...

actually I have the neon lights below. Mark does more than most now that he has a 712. Mark went back to steel as the mags did not hold up to his offroading. After he tipped his 710k over we did not think he would do much. The 712 with the cage gives him some security. He has since made some real ni...

Here is a pic of a 712 with the 5 spoke rims on it. They have since been changed back to steel as the mag wheels were being damaged too much in offroad conditions.

Andy
I figure by Ocotber (in time for the SWPA treffen) you should have a new toy to show off. I can guarantee the weather will not be anywhere near 100 for our treffen in the pines.

Andy I made it to the RMP Treffen again this year. They put on a great event that keeps getting better each year. Even though we are not from Colorado they make us feel very much at home. I should have all of our pics up on youtube shortly and will be working on the vids either tonight or in the mor...

The radio 710M's have some extra places for the bolts to screw in. If you are planning on mounting these racks in the same place you will have to install some rivet nuts. The riack in the upper right portion of you photo is installed behind the drivers seat. There should be a tab on the bottom which...

Hi Mike, Here at the ski area we have some lifts with the Tirfor winches for moving the terminal, and one has an identical JET brand winch. I've been told it has been there since the mid 90's and works as well as the the Tirfor, now gotta see if I can get one thru the ski area. Maybe see you at Tre...

Yeah, I am going to drop a set of rails along with some other armor in UT on my way home from the RMP treffen. Tim has built quite a few sets of side rails and I believe everyone has been happy with them. I put them to the test on many occassions and they work just fine. Hre is my two trucks with th...

Same thing here, I have the black rat version (available in US) and have never broken a shear pin. The unit has recovered several pinzies in trouble with no problems. I wonder how the pins compare between the two units.

when a 400hp pinz is built I guess a high performance shaft will be necessary. Currently I don't see many driveshaft failures as much as ujoins just plain wearing out. As you read through the post you find that the apparent weakest point in the drivetrain appears to be the axle shafts. Those who hav...

never bothered asking. That particular shop has been building shafts for me for many years. I have done power wagon conversions and heaven forbid even played the modified jeep game for a while, so went through lots of driveshafts. Seems the rocks really don't care what the shafts are made of.

The driveshafts are complete replacements. I paid $475 and it was all new material. No need for mail in as you keep your old one.

I will have to stop by the driveshaft shop and check with them. They did not even skip a beat when I laid the old shaft on the counter and asked if they could build me a new one, just went over to the shelf and pulled the parts like it was an everyday thing.
